and his comments this weekend has called into question every medal that was awarded during Vietnam. I, as a civilian, am forced to trust the process that awards the medals and I am not stupid or naive to think that some jockeying doesn't go on in the process, but the minute we start questioning it for one person, it throws the doors open to question the medals of every person.

Those who suffered during war deserve to display the medals they were awarded and not to have to relive their harrowing moments in order to justify having them.

Dole said he was contacted three times by Mr. Wolf Shitzer and CNN to get involved in the Swiftboat Smear controversy, each time turning them down. He said that finally he took them up on their offer. I don't know if I believe Dole, but if it's true, then Wolf Shitzer is himself playing politics and trying to stick his nose into the campaign, trying to find ways to pile on Kerry (as if CNN wasn't already engaged in daily trashing of Kerry without featuring any of the arguments against the Swiftboat Liars). Screw CNN. I tuned in for the interview but I'm once again tuning out.
