1. I saw that he was arrested in '66
on another thread, but forgot to ask what the deal was. Disorderly conduct could mean he was drunk off his butt.

8. Man, that list just makes you feel sicker than a dog
to think that this loser ended up in the White House. That the religious right embrase him as the chosen of God makes his presence there even more disgusting.

5. My goodness.
nol. pros. A declaration that the plaintiff in a civil case or the prosecutor in a criminal case will drop prosecution of all or part of a suit or indictment.

Sounds like he got off for something he did at Yale (New Haven).
This appears to have come to light during the background check necessary for him to be awarded a commission as Lt.

14. What misspelling?
Everything except the usual military alphabet soup (which I don't know) looks okay to me. Connecticut really is spelled that way.

16. Is that Bush's DD214 on Page 2 of the document? I thought
that had yet to be released (not that I'm much of an expert on any of this). Might suggest a partial fake?

12. Weird-USA Today claimed there was no "enlistment" waiver in his file!
Edited on Mon Aug-23-04 05:23 PM by Carni
Is an arrest waiver and an enlistment waiver the same thing???

The below was a fairly recent article (February 04) so now where the hell did this waiver come from (if an arrest waiver and an enlistment waiver are the same thing?)

Check this out!

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2004-02-12-bush-records_x.htm

Excerpt from article

Bush's driving records disclosed
By Dave Moniz and Jim Drinkard, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — The White House disclosed information in documents Thursday showing that President Bush had been arrested once for a college prank and was cited for two automobile accidents and two speeding tickets before he enlisted in the National Guard.

The accidents and tickets were disclosed for the first time in response to questions about a portion of Bush's military record that had been blacked out when the file was made public during the 2000 presidential campaign.

The traffic violations are significant in the context of Bush's military career. At the time Bush enlisted in the Texas National Guard, the Air Force typically would have had to issue a waiver for an applicant who had multiple arrests or driving violations.

An officer who served at the same time as the president, former Texas Air National Guard pilot Dean Roome, was required by the Air Force to get a waiver for a $25 speeding ticket when he enlisted in the Air National Guard in 1967.

There is no record of an enlistment waiver in Bush's military file.

21. wait a minute!!
Disorderly conduct doesn't sound like a college prank. Some might imagine a drunken brawl, or something like that.
