Anyone seen this freeper email? Quotes from Demos on Iraq. Need to respond
Received this from my 'undecided' cousin in Missouri. A) I'm wondering if all these quotes are legit. B) Don't think they all now claim 'W' lied as claimed below ...? C) Response is what? They were mislead by bad intel and 'W' screwed up the execution? I'm working on a response, and ideas are welcome. I'll be looking for counter arguments on k-e.com as well.

1. Snopes says they're legit
But it's not as black and white as this e-mail makes it out to be. Repukes love the black and white world, but the real world doesn't work that way.

4. That's right. All of it is negated by the weapon's inspectors

coming back and saying they couldn't find anything. They were pleading for more time but George had to get his war on.

Just because someone thought they had WMD's in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, or 2002 doesn't mean that they didn't change their view based on facts on the ground. That's what adults do.

How about GWB's quote in the summer of 2003 to a Polish interviewer, "We have found the weapons of mass destruction." Oh really?

On Edit: And another thing. Shouldn't the ultimate criteria before going to war have been that they have WMD's (that's weaponized) and are a direct threat to the United States? It's the 21st century. Just about every nation has some of this stuff. Reminds me of a line in the movie "The Lion in Winter." Eleanor of Acquitane's son runs up to her and says, "Mother, mother, he has a knife." To which she responds, "It's 1268, we're barbarians, we all have knives."

3. So, while Clinton was in office, he was a pariah
and was completely untrustworthy, but now his words have merit? Seems a little hypocritical to me.
Regardless of what anyone said prior to the invasion, the facts are that this admnistration cast aside the opinions of the intelligence agencies who did the due dilligence and reported there was inconclusive and at best, dubious evidence to merit an attack.

Bush is the ONLY one who planted the idea of NUKES in the minds of Americans.

This is more smoke and mirrors from the desperate. :nuke:
