Poll question: What is a “low information voter”?
The phrase "low information voter" seems to be as popular this election year as "soccer moms" was during the last. What is a low information voter?

4. I have a lovely friend, a registered Democrat, who says she's "not political".
Drives me nuts. But we get along because I like her so much for other reasons. I think her friends and family have driven her a bit crazy for her innate support for the Dem ticket over the years so she is intimidated. I try to help her out a bit...nicely...it's not her fault...

18. Well, I fault the Republicans mostly, by promoting the idea that Democrats are bad people.
They are simply vicious. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and I feel she was mentally abused...perhaps a few members of her family went to the dark side and treated her like shit. She probably didn't see the advantage to her of fighting back.

That's anathema to us here at DU, of course. I would have ripped their faces off, but I am not her so...

15. Someone who is convinced that it is his responsibility to vote...
but fails to realize that not knowing where the candidates stand and basing his vote on who he'd prefer to drink a beer with is not a proper execution of said responsibility.
