Talking points that I gave a LTTE writer tonight.
Her LTTE was good, but not completely up-to-date with respect to the Swiftboat-Liars. My comments, based on good info on "Hardball" tonight:

To that end, a couple of more ideas from "Hardball" tonight:

1. Someone compared the Swift-Liar smear to George H.W. Bu$h's ultra-racist "Willie Horton" smear of George Dukakis in 1988. The comparison is fair game for LTTEs. What is not fair game, IMHO, is the conspiracy behind those ads. We cannot prove that the late Lee Atwater, Karl Rove's mentor, was the brain-child behind "Willie Horton." Nor can we link Karl Rove directly to the Swift-Liars (but you know he did it! Robert Perry, the big GOP donor to the Swifts, is an old friend of Rove and Poppy Bu$h). Don't even try ... yet.

2. There was a great bit from a Nixon tape transcript tonight on which Charles Colson (convicted felon from Nixon's Watergate) spoke of then-young (and not so baggy-eyed) Swift-Liar John O'Neill being available "anytime we 'program him'." That is a damning statement in itself. That also came out on tonight's "Hardball."

Comments? Any more zingers for my friend's letter? Here is how I ended my response to her:

If you want, you can use any or all of the above paragraphs, verbatim if you wish, without attribution. Check my spelling!

Mac
