Storm Clouds On the Horizon
Edited on Tue Aug-05-08 10:10 AM by mikekohr
I believe Barack Obama and the Democratic Party will win comfortably to big in November. But there are signs that we can not be complacent. The link below mirrors what a number of other polls are showing and what may be a developing trend. When the media blitz starts for the Obama campaign I believe these numbers will quickly revert.

But we can not be complacent.

1. Of course we can't be complacent, but we also can't panic everytime the polls take a dip
This is going to be up and down but ultimately Obama will win because this is a true change election.

3. No panic here
Just pragmatic optimism in a historic context, after all we have lost 7 0f the last ten presidential elections to what are arguably the nations worst presidential "F" ups, namely Nixon, Reagan, Bush and his jackass son.

2. Ask anyone to make a list of our nation's concerns.............
health care, social security trust fund, energy, housing, failing automobile industry............pretty much anything you can think of.........and ask them what the last 8 years of Republican leadership has done to make those things better or worse.

And would they like a few more years of the same crap under McCain.

5. We have owned those issues for the last decade
Edited on Tue Aug-05-08 10:12 AM by mikekohr
The American public have favored the Democratic Party's positions on nearly every issue for the last 10 to 15 years. We as a party must make sure that we convince at least a plurality if not a majority of voters to vote their own self interest. Presidential races are more personality driven than issue driven, that's why we lose to these douche bags so often.

4. If we got storms, the republic party has a cat 5 hurricane bearing down.
And that's why you can't be complacent.

8. Well if that's the case I hope they all hole up in the Superdome
but they will probably all go to McCain's ranch and eat cake like he and Bush did while Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.
