Obama kicked some serious ass today. Why aren't the posters who were all over his ass

1. Props for Obama. Big time.
I wasn't all over his ass by any means. But I sure loved what he did today.

Kick 'em in the teeth, Barack.

Or another part of the anatomy.

2. Same reason why they're ignoring today's good poll numbers
and concentrating on the bad ones.

Because they're CONCERNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111111111111

6. If Obama kicks some serious ass in a forest ...
... and nobody is around to hear it, does he make a sound?

I'm not asking this to be snarky or mean. My point is that if the corporate media don't pay attention to Obama's words and actions when he fights back, how much do we really achieve? I'll admit that I've not been spending hours with CNN or MSNBC (except for Keith, of course), but the little snippets of news I heard today did little to convince me that Obama "kicked some serious ass today" -- even though that's what he did.

Even Randi was still all hung up on tire pressure today during the time I listened to her. :(

10. I hear you.
But don't forget he is getting some great local coverage from the places he's visiting. He came to my town last week, and for a few days the normally right wing local rag gave him some great in depth coverage.

16. Even the CBS Evening News played a clip of his "It's like they're proud of being ignorant" remark,
and more.

What people who focus solely on cable channels seem to forget is that the "Big Three" broadcast networks STILL pull in a vastly larger audience than ANY cable news program.

If a broadcast news show is playing clips of Obama's speech, you can be sure his remarks aren't passing by unnoticed.

Couric crossed my can't-bear-to-watch threshold a while back. Perhaps she reached a few "low-information voters."

18. I don't have cable. I end up watching CBS because the local affiliate is my favorite for local news.
I refuse to watch ABC, and I'm not too fond of NBC, so it's usually CBS by default. Then I usually switch over to PBS to watch the Lehrer Newshour.

Couric is truly awful, but at least she's not Charles Gibson. And Lara Logan shows up every once in awhile -- she's wonderful!

8. Big time props for him! Hope he keeps it up and does not back down.
He needs to keep after McCain every step of the way. Then once he announces his VP pick that person needs to do the same thing.

9. I'll step up:
I was one of the complainers last week; his team's response seemed very weak.

This week has been a great improvement thus far, so he gets major props from me. And a bit of cash.

I still, however, will not go over to the PollyAnna side. Never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter.

11. Great! I'll admit I actually put you on ignore over the weekend
not just you, but a couple others. I had to go adjust my preferences to see who posted

Nobody has to be pollyanna, but the chicken little thing gets old REAL quick.

12. If Obama keeps this up,
my confidence won't waver. The hard-hitting-but-truthful ads, the fired-up speech he made today.. these things makes a real difference. Seems to have helped morale for everyone, from those who were 100% optimistic to those who were 100% pessimistic.

19. Just saw his "dalies" and he got a standing ovation in my house.
He held back in the primaries because of the intraparty thing which was frustrating sometimes, so it is twice a sweet to see him getting up in McBush's face. He really isn't snotty, he just tells the truth. The unvarnished truth. Ouch.
