Please take a look at the proposed roster of speakers,
"An initial lineup of featured speakers for the 2004 Republican National Convention has been released and further announcements about the convention program will follow in the days and weeks ahead. The impressive roster includes New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Senator John McCain (R-AZ), First Lady Laura Bush, Secretary of Education Rod Paige, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-CA), Vice President and Mrs. Cheney, Senator Zell Miller (D-GA), Governor George Pataki (R-NY) and President George W. Bush, who will accept the Republican Party's re-nomination to lead our country for another four years."

and try to convince yourself, me, anyone, that Kerry won't get a boost from the RNC!
Thanks,
:hi:

2. Frankly I am not that impressed
The first prime time night, Bloomberg, Giuliani, and McCain are speaking.

Second prime time night, Laura bush, Paige, and Schwarzenegger

Third prime time night, lynne Cheney, dick cheney, zell miller

Fourth prime time night, pataki and gw bush

Frankly, to me this is old and quite boring...

3. BIG mistake - the men are very unappealing to women.
Edited on Tue Aug-24-04 09:41 AM by alcuno
Look, the Dems need the women's vote. Who do they have as their main speakers? Clinton - hot. Obama - smooth and warm. Edwards - cute like your trusted younger brother. Kerry - he was hot that night.

Republicans could also use some women voting for them since they are generally down with women. Who do they have as their main speaker?
Guiliani - a toad. Schwarzenegger - appeals to men more than women. John McCain - nice guy, but hot? Nope. Zell Miller - too much like your crotchety grandpa - he's no Sean Connery. * - tends to look small on a big stage. No one has ever called him sexy, that I know of.
