Apparently.."some people" think that all vets awards undeserved.
How many purple hearts have been awarded to vets from all the wars...all of the injuries received in wars? Now..some people believe that most of these were not deserved. Should all the vets who have received purple hearts be forced to return them if their wounds were not deep enough or disabling enough or bloody enough? What are we saying here with all this shit about "were John Kerry's purple hearts deserved?

1. Exactly
it calls ALL of them into question. After all, the MILITARY issued them. Why is their problem not with the military???

2. their problem isn't with the military OR the purple hearts
it's with the man. They don't like him, so they'll attack in any way they can.

4. This is the issue..this is what they are saying
and...why isnt anyone pointing that out to the public...If this issue about what is really being said about all vets go attention...then you would see a backlash that would be huge.

And why isnt this a huge issue...why does no news media pick up on this obvious slam to all the vets who have received purple hearts over the years?

<snip>
Presidential candidate John McCain is being hailed by the press as a genuine "American war hero" and says he has the medals to prove it.

For 5 ½ years as a POW (three of which he says were spent in solitary confinement), the U.S. Navy awarded McCain a Silver Star, a Legion of Merit for Valor, a Distinguished Flying Cross, three Bronze Stars, two Commendation medals plus two Purple Hearts and a dozen service medals.

Former POW McCain claims his experience as a prisoner of the communists better qualifies him to be President of the United States. He has forged that experience along with his military record deeply into his campaign.

But, Navy regulations say two eyewitnesses are required for any award of heroism and McCain has none for the valor awards he received. Are McCain's Awards Heroism Valid?

<snip>

It's an oldie. But it still gives you an insight into the same, low tactics this administration and it's followers will stoop to over and over to get what they want...

In other words...Support the troops...Unless they run against Bush.

7. I guess it's like all the other things.... It'll have to get REALLY bad
before the RW vets can see it for what it is, and have a conversion experience.
