Ex-worker sues RNC for discrimination.
"WASHINGTON (AP) - A former field director is accusing the Florida Republican Party of racial discrimination in a federal lawsuit.

<snip>

Naffe says she was fired from her job, which she held from August 2003 to April of this year, after she complained about being assigned to work with black organizations, events and issues. Naffe, 25, of Tampa, was the only black field director at the time. She said she was told, ``You understand your people.'' "

Words fail me. :puke:

1. My god!

why would a group ever want to make it's contact person for black organizations one of it's black workers? I'm sorry, but the DNC and many other non-political organizations do this too. While I'm sure that Naffe has a case for discrimination, I'm not necessarily outraged by the practice. I can't tell for sure from what is here, but it seems Naffe was upset about both the Party's treatment of him (and probably should be) and the fact that he had to work with black organizations... interesting...

2. While I have no problem believing that the RNC
needs a black person to talk to the "colored people" in Florida, I just can't believe they were so blatant as to use the "you people" line.

But what does this guy expect from working for the Republicans, especially in Florida?
