6. Of course....when they came up for air after doing some deep kissing to
McCain's ass.

Guess he's promised Time-Warner some big fat corporate tax cuts and more deregulation of the cable industry, if that is even possible. :eyes:

12. Yeah, that is why Turner was a bit stupid to expect that they wouldn't backstab him like that.
But otherwise, he's actually a billionaire I kinda like. I mean his bison ranches are quirky but kinda make some sorta sense. I so totally didn't know this before I learned this through reading about Turner but bison are really dangerous and are actually more dangerous than bears if you consider the amount of people who die from bison attacks compared to bear attacks in national parks.

13. I've seen a lot of ads with "Obama will raise taxes" during Olympic coverage
not sure it that's a national ad or just here in PA.

I haven't seen many ads countering it - I don't think we should let the Reps define Obama with that tired old meme. (I guess it's the only thing they can come up with! )

16. They ran a piece on the Russia/Georgia conflict concluding, "Score one for McCain!"
Edited on Tue Aug-12-08 08:19 PM by jenmito
They claimed this goes to his strength and shows he was "out in front of this issue" months ago. They replayed the package many times throughout the day. :eyes:

22. This is how they help the steal. They said the same about swifts, but polls never showed any
significant effect from the swifts whatsoever.

Their intention is to create a perception that the ads are working when they have absolutely no proof they are, and even when there is no change in the polls. So, when it's stolen......

23. you, as much as anyone here, know the drill....repeat a lie often enough,
and it becomes the "truth"

the media walk hand in hand with the powers that be, and the powers that be are the corporations who control both parties, with the republican-lite party left holding the bag, begging for leftovers from M$M/Repug corpfeedbag

you think there's any chance to overcome this?

the most disgusting thing about it is the tiresomely, endlessly repeated canard about the 'liberal media'. nothing infuriates me more (well, just about) than some ignoramo RW nutjob whining about CNN or MSNBC (not to mention ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NPR, all the major newsmags, newspapers) being bastions of liberal bias, when 'all' they have is Fox and talk radio

29. How are they backing up their claim?
What are they using as evidence of this claim? I have not watched CNN since 2004 because they were the biggest pushers of the Swiftboat story against Kerry. There was no fact check but repetition of the commercials and treating the swiftboaters as if they were legit.
