I don't know if it is the same hand that was allegedly mishandled, but that might be a cover story if she had a problem with the hand that needed covering up. She may have had a mini stroke, it could have affected the hand. I'm not inclined to believe the cover story, which sounds pretzelesque.

That's a new word I just invented, meaning:
