Do you know when an ad or individual has "crossed the line" ?

For example, did you know right away that the SBVT ad was across the line? Did you know that Bob Dole was over the line with his comments about three Purple Hearts and no blood? Do you feel the same away with the comments about Laura Bush? Is there any line to cross anymore?

1. There's just no line to cross...people no longer CARE about that critical

distinction.

It's rather humorous but more sad than not since everyday on this forum we await the arrival of the truth neatly packaged for the American people to see which vote would be more in their interests (including cries to clean our party of the corporatists that are infecting it) but then when a lie suits us...we will entertain it as though there is no harm done to the truth we so desperately wish to free.

If we are going to become our enemy, is there anything left to save?

If you are talking about "LB was a hooker threads(?)", I assumed those were a gag. A satirical example of how lies mixed with a bit of truth can make dumb people believe anything while destroying a person's reputation.......like the right tried in SBVFT.

Maybe I'm more naive than I think if that isn't what we're talking about here. :shrug:

5. For what it's worth... I went into the first thread and looked at another

when they first popped up. Then......I went elsewhere. Today, after posting in here, I took a look at the boards--there are a LOT of those threads, more than I realized.

I've been busy/interested in other topics. More important things to discuss than this. Someone said they were tired of SO MANY THREADS on this silliness...I agree.

3. spreading lies as truth is over the line...the things we say about

bush are based on truth..
the swifties are lies and slander....
bob dole is also lie and slander and unbecoming a vet against other vets who face gun fire.....

it makes it all seem like the ones currently earning these medals have to prove they bled....which is ridiculous.....if they went where bullets were flying.....they deserve much better treatment than the rethugs give....

if I were a vet, I could never vote rethug because they have no respect for anyone who served...
