Something's Coming/Plame Thread Fatigue
I may be a little jaded because I bought in to the July 14th/Tectonic Plates thing on the Plame Thread, but this anticipation of some divine intervention or knockout punch scandal is just wishful thinking after a week of intense bullshit from the SBV/Free media Convergence. I am more heartened by the Zogby poll that has Kerry ahead here in TN- especially after all the evil SBV crap.

1. I'd love to see that
But it sure was great news. I'd love to see TN go blue on Nov 2.

I'm in highly conserv Kingsport, but I smiled at seeing a Kerry/Edwards sign in someone's yard today and a Bush/Cheney=WMD bumper sticker yesterday.

It's a wonderful thing :)

Cyn:)

3. Greek playwrites were big on Deus ex Machina to resolve knotty problems
I'm not a big believer in these things. I'm still hopeful that the "undecided idiots" who comprise, what, 5 percent will figure out that Smirky is a loser and will vote to dump him because, quite frankly, he has fucked up everything he has touched.

6. I don't think I'd call it "Huge" either, but I'll gladly take it.

5. Why doesn't someone start a Plame-related thread?
I think we all could use some information on that one!

9. Well here's something on Plame that four hundred pages never got

NBC Washington correspondent Tim Russert and Post reporter Glenn Kessler gave interviews to Fitzgerald under similar circumstances earlier this summer, also with waivers from Libby. Both journalists said they did not have to identify confidential sources and they told Fitzgerald that Libby did not reveal Plame's name to them.

Lawyers and journalists involved in the case say Fitzgerald is going through a methodical process of elimination for all contacts between reporters and senior administration officials last summer, and is waiting until the end to question Novak.

"To go about finding out who Novak's sources are by going after half the journalists in town seems pretty indirect, and a little weird," said Lucy A. Dalglish, executive director of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. "I think it's absolutely clear these reporters don't have information that goes to the heart of who the leaker is.

So...nobody knows nuthing but that Douchebag for Liberty (is that sexist? LOL) Novak.

Waiting on a prayer....

11. There seems to be a tendency to PRE-ANNOUNCE
among web reporters and commentors. Not sure why this is, but after a few let-downs, one just stops paying attention. A story really isn't a story if there is some reason why it has to be held back (even if the reason is simple integrity and intellectual honesty on the part of the reporter),

No I wouldn't call the latest O'Niell debunking story HUGE, and the next time this reporter (Will Pitt) says that something HUGE is coming, I won't bother to read it. But I will read it when his actual story comes out, because he has been very reliable, and very dedicated.

Meanwhile, it is a good story, even if it's not HUGE.

12. I Agree, Anything That Helps Bring Down The Liars Is Welcome
I just think we should be cautious about getting too hyped up about things that may or may not happen. The thing that I hate is how the media played along with this smear and gave it much more life than it deserved

13. The idiot post of the thread
I view Plame as an insurance policy (albeit a dreadful one to have to buy) on the reinstallation. We cannot allow the reinstallation to occur, but if it does, of course, we should have us some insurance, as the nation had insurance against Nixon's re-election in 1972.

Gimme Nixon over filthy pig Bush any motherfuckin' day.

14. It's funny- As much comtempt as I had for Nixon- it sure pales
in comparison to my feelings about the Chimp. The Plame Stall is working well- they threw the prosecutor off the track just long enough to push it past Nov.

16. And contempt for B* varies geometrically with Bush2's contempt for USA
Nixon only seemed to hold the Constitution in contempt.

Bush seems to hold the cosmos in contempt. George W. Bush is a genuinely mentally ill and dangerous person.
