So..for those who want more aggressive response, how was Cleland today?
Did he or did he not flame Bush and SBV to a cinder?

2. Let's wait for the evening news cycle coverage before declaring victory.
These things have a way of being spun. But, it looks like another nail in the bastard's coffin so far.

4. They can be spun, but htose calling for more aggressive acts
got their way, didn't they? If it doesn't play tonight then maybe aggression isn't the way to go.

14. BS
Are we supposed to wait and see what "they" (the spinners run by the right) tell us to feel and think about this heroic and dramatic act by Cleland? I don't think so. I'm sick and tired of that. WE WON THIS ROUND. It was absoultely great and I'm going to enjoy it and be very damn proud of what was done today NO MATTER WHAT the right or the spinners say about it.

One more stain on a bastard already so morally stained, it's a wonder we can see a new one!

10. I don't think that "take down those lying ads" has ever worked before
But then again, nobody ever made blatently false ads about a combat vet's service before, nobody has ever been a consistent beneficiary of them as Bush before, and nobody has lacked the moral courage to denounce false, despicable ads before.

Max let him have it right between the eyes. Did you hear the "librul" media? They were furious. I can't believe CNN didn't cut him off.

15. Good Stuff ...
... but the Democrats should not let up. Kerry needs to hammer and hammer and hammer and hammer and hammer it. And get Bob Kerrey out there at some point. The man is a Medal of Honor winner. I know Kerrey has released a statement, but that guy needs to be on TV, too, maybe in some commercials. This Swiftliars thing needs to be rammed so far up Bush's ass that he has trouble clearing his throat. Make that scumbag regret the day he ever tried to pull this stunt.

17. I think Cleland misplayed it....
...just a little. The Bushies misplayed it, bigtime, by sending out the Texas Land Commissioner to recieve the letter instead of the Chimp, one of his high level aides, or even a Secret Service agent! Major disrespect for a greviously injured war vet and former U.S. Senator. They handed us a talking point on a silver platter.

Cleland could have and should have made some hay about the imperious, petulant asshole not even granting him an audience. Regardless if Cleland is a political opponent, you just don't treat such a person with obvious distain! It smacks of something a king or emperor would do.

Yet in that little speech afterwards Cleland didn't even mention that angle. His remarks were more or less same old, same old.
