"Old Tricks" Ad goes national tomorrow
a kerry campaign adviser comfirms that starting tomorrow, the campaign will begin airing "old tricks" in battleground states and on cable...

it's the ad that includes the exchange between mccain and bush in 2000.

SCRIPT:
NAME: “Old Tricks”
TYPE: “Internet”
LENGTH: 52 seconds
McCain: Let me tell you what really went over the line. Governor Bush had an event, and he paid for it, and standing, and stood next to the spokesman for a fringe veterans group. That fringe veteran said that John McCain had abandoned the veterans. Now I don’t know how if you can understand this George, but that really hurts.

Bush: Yeah.
McCain: That really hurts. And so five United State senators, Vietnam veterans, heroes. Some of them really incredible heroes, wrote George a letter and said “apologize.” You should, you should be ashamed.

2. Woo hoo!
Bush on the defensive. In his bunker in Crawford.

Max Cleland called the little eunuch out. They're taking the fight to Bush--and pushing him around.

15. Has the press reported whether Cleland got in or not?
This is also going to put McCain in the forefront. I imagine he had given tacit approval to the use of this ad, but I imagine he doesn't relish the dancing act he'll have to assume with the Bush* campaign. Why the hell he doesn't come over to Kerry. Kerry would undoubtedly make him Defense Secretary if that's what he wants. I just don't get it. (and no I'm only a McCain fan in the sense that he is the most principaled of a very unprincipaled Repug cabal, but that is not saying much at all).

Beautiful.

In the words of the Adam Clymer impersonator who appeared on Letterman about four years ago,

"FUCK YOU, GEORGE W. BUSH!"

13. and Rassman when he said "they lied about ME"
it shows they aren't only attacking kerry, but other veterans. veterans like rassman who never did the "anti american" things kerry did. rassman who was a republican until recently. they attack and call people like him a liar.

8. This is a great ad. But it makes me sadly shake my head that McCain
can then turn around and wrap his arms around the man who dishonestly took the primary from him. How can he turn it off and on like that? It's downright sickening if you think about it too much.
