To those who question why Cleland went to deliver this letter to Dubya...
If the media does not do their job, you must hit them over the head, until you can get their attention. CNN had the goods on John O'Neill last night, complete with Nixon transcript. Yet, they have not mentioned this today, not even once!

Which mean the media is content to let the Swift Boat smear go on. The Kerry campaign is using the intense media and public interest to try and set the record straight and pin the Bush campaign to the wall!

Go, Max Cleland! What a patriot!

1. Bush gives new meaning to the term "Dodge City"
Now, in addition to being a draft dodger, we can call him a draftee dodger.

6. Dubya is, as Josh Marshall has said, a "moral coward!"

The Bushies let others do their dirty work. Remember the Wylie Brothers and their "Republicans for Clean Air" ad against John McCain in New York in 2000. This was a 527 group. Groups have a right to free speech, but they do not have a right to their own facts--which is what these "Smear Boat" Veterans have done.

By the way, there is nothing in the McCain/Feingold finance law which outlaws 527 groups. Their existence is not the issue. It is their use by the unscrupulous who use them to the hide behind to spread lies and smears.

Ben Ginsberg has resigned from the Bush/Cheney campaign, but as far as I know, he has NOT resigned from the 527 groups he advises, Progress for America--which reported it has recently increased it coffers to $35 million dollars--as well as the "Swift Boat Veterans for the Truth."

2. My theory

Is...if the media releases everything they have Bush is over, the election is done...In other words, "SHOW IS OVER."

They gotta keep it close, keep it interesting to keep viewers (read: corporate sponsors).

Things will begin to break, but not likely until just before Nov

4. You could be right
And then all the media whores will mine their archives for anything even remotely anti-Bush and holler, "See? I knew all along that Bush was no match for Kerry! Watch my show, because I'm smarter than you."

But in real time, we know what faithful little water carriers they've been for this corrupt administration. It's up to us to remember, because the whores sure won't.
