Who needs the Right-Wing, some of YOU turn on Obama faster than McCain Lies
I have read about 20 Post in the last 5 minutes about How Obama is losing
because one poll shows he is behind McLame.

Get a frickin spine people, this was to be expected, the M$M was reporting all last week Obama should not have gone on Vacation to that "foreign" place.

McCain gained a little ground with the Repuke planned Russia-Georgia war. And most people have been watching the Olympics and catching the heavily slanted M$M political highlights.

ITS AUGUST!!! The party doesn't even really get rolling until after the convention.

And if you are paying attention to Obama and not what the M$M says about him. He has been coming out hitting a lot harder

So instead of running for a life boat or just jumping ship, relax, Obama has put together an incredible team that knows how to work the numbers.

Besides the only reason the M$M is salivating at the trumped up McCain lead is because let's face it they want him to win. It's better that the Repukes think they have gotten some sort of upper hand right now. We will Sea biscuit their asses with a "come from behind win"

1. Eh, I'm tired of hearing how the race won't REALLY start until after the
(fill in the blank). The race is half over. We need to get into gear.

5. Agree. His campaign has been a major disappointment.
90% of DUers could come up with better ads than the ones we've seen.

For example,

McCain's position on Social Security, the Iraq War, the economy, his love of Bush policy, his numerous changing of positions - and all using video of McCain saying it.

Playing defense against the Republicans is not working. It's time to attack with the truth.

8. I'm not too disappointed in his campaign--I do think he's been coming up
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 10:44 AM by wienerdoggie
with the very ads you describe, and he has been making punches. What I would do is take McCain down at a visceral level, make an absolute caricature out of him, and at the same time come up with very short/punchy policy slogans and attack slogans for the vast ignoramus ADD voting public who only understand shit like "Drill here...drill now...ugh, me want cheap gas..."

NO, it wasn't to "be expected". And I'm sick of ostriches who refuse to allow criticism.

14. Complete agreement
In the last month, I've seen polls trending the wrong way - not just one poll - ALL THE POLLS. I watched the same thing happen to Sen Kerry. Sen Obama is letting himself be defined and I can appreciate wanting to be a different kind of candidate and blah, blah, blah but mccain is fighting dirty and it's working. Anyone who doesn't see that doesn't know shit about politics.

7. sorry dude, but it's happened before the supposed winner gets
sloppy and shit happens. I understand where you're coming from but you have to admit obama's team has slacked off a little. take for instance this vp pick, man get it over already, and pick hillary. hell I don't even like her but for him it's the only choice.

if he picks someone else he's just going to make things that much harder on himself.

10. Thanks for the laugh
I think you might be right.
On the brighter side Obama is coming to my home town today I think
Deep Jerry Falwell Country, I applaud him for even letting his plan fly over Lynchburg let alone land it there!

To bad the City never let Jerry build a Convention Center in Lynchburg, It would be like a ride at Disney Land feeling Jerry Falwell Rolling his big butt over and over in his Grave if Obama
could have had a speech there!

11. I think Democrats are scared and lack spine.......
That's why instead of supporting Barack, they allow the RW to demoralize them. They are fucking weak....and yet they demand "strength" from our candidate......why they have none.

Far as I'm concerned, Obama will win, but it will be in spite of the spineless who think they know what needs to be done.

12. This is OUR campaign to LOOSE or WIN, contribute or sit there whining and expect
one man to make your dreams come true. Obama is not that powerful, we have to do the work.

15. But golly.
Look at all the work we do. We type and type and type and type. We tell people over and over how easy it is going to be. We hold victory parties every Friday night. We spend lots of energy thinking good thoughts and projecting hope. What more could be possibly do? It's not like we need to get down to the campaign headquarters and work. I mean they might have - oh ick - some Hillary people left over. No, we'll just keep typing.

Ommmmm. It's in the bag. Ommmmmm. We are winners. Ommmmmm. We are cool so we win.

(Okay. Sorry for the crappy sarcasm. But I just spent a few days trying to get some help from the people that showed up so heavily for the primary. I was supporting Hillary then and these guys were all over the place. They worked like trojans to defeat Hillary. Now they act like they have done their job. We can't get them to show up for any rallies or do any work for our guy. One did tell me he does a couple of hours a day on the blogs so he didn't have time to do this little stuff. So, here's the the DU'ers who are doing. And sorry for lumping. It's going to be a hard win. It is not in the bag. Yep. I'm concerned.)

16. I don't doubt it, and I do volunteer, I am perplexed at how easily swayed SOME
folks at DU seem to be.
I think most of them are scorned Hillary supporters and or Freeper plants

18. I don't know what the hell a "scorned" HRC supporter is, but many are Obama PW supporters
If someone who supported HRC in the Primaries posted an OP like that, they would be eviscerated. I'm afraid you'll have to point about 90% of the finger at trolls and freaked out Obama PW supporters.

17. and That's where it really counts. ;)
I think too many of us are removed from the reality by sitting at our keyboards and panicing or celebrating, back and forth, a few times a day.

Any DUer that is also volunteering in the trenches, when they post it is NEVER moan and groan and all is lost. At least not that I have seen. These are the people that know the temperature and whats really happening - we, we're like a movie audience with many different intrepations (and Lots of popcorn!) and crying that we don't like the ending when the movie still isn't over.
