Questions to Pound Mcpow With: Draft Reinstatement? and HIS PTSD Treatment?
His answer yesterday in response to reinstating the draft was somewhat ambiguous. He should be asked repeatedly until he flips back to no draft or until he confirms his statement, and should be hammered either way.

Another interesting point in his answer to the same question was this:

Now here's what.. I'll make this as short as possible, our veterans have earned our highest priority. And yet we know that there is also routine health care needs that veterans have that in my view, they should not have to go to the VA to receive. OK?

We have tragically and unfortunately in this war a dramatic...well, we're going to have a lot of PTSD. We also have severe combat injuries. Because thank God, we're able to get the wounded from the battle field to medical treatment more quickly than any time in history. That puts an increased burden on our medical, military medical care, as well as our VA.

(snip)

So we have to focus our attention, expand our capability to treat PTSD, combat related injuries, brain injuries, etc. that we're best at. And for a veteran with a routine health care need, why shouldn't we give that veteran a card and take it to the health care provider; or the doctor of their choice and get the routine health care that they need.

The follow-up question that should follow him is: What treatment have YOU received for PTSD? You recognize the importance and seriousness of the problem, spending 5 years in a POW camp as you constantly remind us, is certain to leave mental scars. How have you dealt with and treated YOUR PTSD?

The fact that he didn't categorically deny any possibility of the return of the draft needs to get traction.

(watch all the pro-draft thread jumpers rise up)

The fact that he's a walking petrie dish of PTSD also needs punching...

2. His Draft stand is an easy ad for all of America to understand.
His PTSD is one that should flood the radio, and tvs. Just repeat the simple question, What treatment did you receive for YOUR PTSD? Ask it until every voter is asking it themselves.

6. The PTSD question is brilliant!
It turns his greatest stength into a weakness and, as Kissinger would say, it also has the advantage of being true.

7. If it becomes the meme on the liberal radio shows and the blogosphere
he will quit mentioning that he is a pow-war-hero. It will only serve to remind America that he is mentally unstable.

8. At the very least, someone needs to ask whether he's had any sort
of examination to rule out Alzheimer's and senile dementia. Something is wrong with the guy. I'm convinced he's going to choose Holy Joe for VP because he plays the Nancy Reagan roll so well, whispering the correct answers in McBush's ear.

9. I hope he does, it'd be a sure loss.
He would instantly lose his fragile base, and gain nearly no one.

They would try to claim the change and unity mantle, and fall flat.
