5. Well Than Move It, I Put It Here Because
she does comment on the 2008 elections, so while it's a bit of a reach, I thought it might be o.k. for GDP. I defer to the mods.

12. Why not? do you have a reason? She certainly is out there as a representative
for the DNC.

2. I like her but that's because I think she's cute-- her smackdown of Paul Begala was classic.
It was smart and funny but firm. So I have lots of respect for someone like that.

21. I missed that... what'd she smack Begala down for?
I'd like to see her smacking down repukes and their water-carriers a little harder...

25. It was during the primaries I think when the MSM was dragging it out.
Contrary to the hopes of the Hillary people, it was pretty much in the sack and that was Donna's position while Begala was definitely rooting for Hillary. It was a cute little argument because Donna wasn't going to let the BS go.

26. OK... thanks... I remember Begala spanking the pukes pretty hard recently...
so I was kinda shocked she'd go after him.

28. Was Donna appearing in her capacity as a "neutral" representative of the DNC at that time? nt

31. I think any rep of the DNC's neutrality was very challenged by the whole BS of the primaries.
Edited on Thu Aug-21-08 11:20 AM by eshfemme
So I won't give her crap about it. And yes, it's BS when first, it's the delegates that decide the nomination and then the superdelegates and then the popular vote. I might have the order wrong here but this whole changing the goalpost thing was definitely a fucking headache so I don't blame the DNC one bit for being pissed about it because it was essentially blaming the DNC for DOING THEIR FUCKING JOB by enforcing the rules when it really could be blamed on the Hillary team's shoddy campaign.

Anyway, Donna was kickass because her argument with Begala was obviously good-natured and not bitter at all, which in a time when the atmosphere was increasingly vitriolic was a nice change. So I remembered it.

But the fact that you mention her "neutrality" evokes a certain bitterness about the whole thing. Sorry but Hillary lost a long time before the MSM and her followers finally admitted it. What's scary is that there are still people who don't admit it.

That was the problem.

4. She keeps her cool. I give her that.
When I'd like to start beating the opposition when they start bringing up their usual non-issue BS she stays calm.

6. She is an active opponent of my political goals
Donna Brazile is a homophobe, and according to Howard Dean she was one of the ardent opponents of adding GLBT people to the guidelines for affirmative action in the National delegate selection process.
Brazile opposed efforts to bring GLBT representation to our convention. Vocally, and with great gusto.
As far as I'm concerned she can go join the GOP, clearly her heart's true home Party.

Who did she betray and why does she deserve to be called such a harsh name? Some people...

she hasn't shown the backbone I'd like to see... but precious few Dems have till just lately.

The DLC types seem to have a vitriolic hate for her, so that's definitely a plus in my book. :)

27. Donna Brazile: nice, smart NOLA LADY
I like her. She's never hysterical, she's very much a New Orleans lady. She has class, balance and is a thinking type. My guess is on the Myers briggs personality test she'd be an INTJ, like me.

30. She's been a pretty good advocate for Obama
but she seems too nice sometimes . . . but I just assume that's her way. She's very respectful of who she's debating, but I've seen her sting back pretty well lately.
