Stem Cell Research.
Zogby estimates that Kerry could
steal away as many as 20% (1 of every 5) of Bush's supporters if he announced a major, comprehensive plan to further stem cell research. If Kerry was able to steal even half that number, the election would be in the bag for him. Because, let's face it, aside from the right-wing wackos like Pat Robertson, Americans trust in science and want to find cures for deadly diseases. Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, heart disease, cancer and diabetes don't make distinctions between Democrats and Republicans.

Farming and Rural InitiativesFarms across the United States are closing left and right. Farmers just can't keep up with the cost of production while the U.S. is cutting exports and increasing imports. So here's a chance for Kerry and Edwards to draw in the rural vote and put battleground states like Iowa, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee in the bag. Announce a major relief plan aimed at helping farmers in the U.S. get back on track.

Public EducationBush proposed No Child Left Behind, then refused to fund it and now even criticizes it. Kerry and Edwards need to make public education a more central issue in the campaign. It's an issue that extends across party lines. Even Republicans have kids in schools that are crumbling to bits, with poorly-paid teachers and low standards.
