Election Model update: Bush is a rope-a-dope. What will finish him off?

If not for the Survey USA outlier which has Kerry ahead by a measly 3% in CA (not in Zogby's latest polls) and the temporary Bush leads in OH and WV (due to those swift boat ads)...Kerry would have an average 340 EV in the simulation model and be pulling away for good.

Watch the undecideds break to Kerry. Watch the young voters register in massive numbers. Watch the military backlash against Bush. Watch the Hispanics, the Jews, the women, the unions, the angry Republicans. Watch Springsteen. And watch the media take notice.

This is NOT 2000. The PEOPLE will decide this one. Not the fascists on SCOTUS.

Close election? I don't buy it. We have all the makings of a landslide. Kerry is a closer. And its not even September.

I have NEVER seen so many motivated people that want Bush gone. And I have never seen so many disenfranchised Republicans.

The RNC committee has just endorsed the hate amendment into their platform, per www.salon.com
A few paragraphs down, Haley Barbour is quoted as saying " We are the party of the open door"..I kid you not.
Moderate republicans are livid.
We do not need to do any more, the republican party in imploding.

5. Leave no doubt about it

I sure don't want to wake up November 3 (assuming I even go to sleep that night) wondering if it would have made a difference if I'd made one more call, handed out one more bumper sticker, placed one more lawn sign, or registered one more voter. I have an ample enough backside, and I'm willing to work it off to make sure that Kerry wins in a landslide. That would make me quite happy.

But I'm taking nothing for granted. The last poll I saw (this morning in the Oregonian, Zogby online) had Kerry up by 11 points. That's nice, and helps me go about my work with a lighter step, but I'm not slackening my efforts.
