Are O'Neil's ties to GHW Bush and Duhhhbya important?

Would it matter? I presume everyone knows about their personal ties, but that it doesn't matter coz it doesn't show collusion?

1. It matters because many will doubt what he says.

Those who are strong Kerry supporters don't believe a word he says, those who are strong shrub supporters believe everything he says, but there are a lot of people who don't pay much attention to politics, and will question what this guy says because of his links with Nixon, shrub and the whole Party.

3. Collusion isn't important. You are missing the point.

The point is that ONeill and the Scum Boat vets are the type with which an honorable candidate would not associate, and from whom an honorable candidate would not accept help. I don't care if ONeil and Bush never colluded. The fact that Bush would accept the benefit of a scum like ONeill or had any association whatsover tells me all I need to know.

The voter has to say, do I want to be like a scum boat vet? Or vote for a person who would?

Ok well it seems to be pretty well known that he's close to the bushies. In fact, then-Prez Poppa Bush was considering O'Neill for appointment to a federal judgeship.

O'Neill's been in Texas hanging around the bushers since 1972.

One of O'Neill's law partners, Margaret A. Wilson, was general counsel to Bush from 1998 to 2000, his last two years as governor of Texas, during which he ran for president.

The group also received funding from the Crow family, a prominent family of Texas developers that includes Harlan Crow, who manages Crow Holdings, a Dallas-based international investment company. Harlan Crow is also a trustee of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Foundation.
