October Surprise? How bout this one.?
Was watching O'what's his name on Fox and he was going n about the Iran nuclear threat and it came to mind so quick.

Mid October Bush launches an air campaign against Iran to preempt there Atomic threat to our freedom. The coverage would go right through election day and flags would wave and heroes would be made. and bush could steal it and no one would notice.

1. Everyone would notice
Bush has been outed. If he started another war, he wouldn't even MAKE IT to election day.

3. Only Congress can declare war
Although no one told Chimpy that apparently.

Even Repukes would turn against him in droves.

It wont happen.

12. HAHAHAHA
Ok, that's a good point. In the real world that wouldn't make sense, but we haven't lived in the real world for about 4 years.

7. Actually it is a little slicker than that. Israel will hit the Iranian
nuke site, Iran will lob a impotent rocket it the general direction of Israel and then the shrub will have to attack Iran to defend Israel. The Christian fundies will get raving about the second coming, the Jews will flock to the shrub and the repugs will gather around the "great wartime leader". Game set match, shrub reselected.

9. An Attack On Iran Prior To The November Election Would Be Suicide.
It would be seen as purely political and I don't think the voting public would be swayed. Also, with Bush focusing so much on the campaign he could be critisized for not pouring all his time into making sure that the war was executed as best as it could be.

13. Korea was the idea the other night
Iran has been mentioned for a while now, as a VP replacement when Cheny drops because of "ill health" problems. Osamma is of course a constant. A fake terrorist threat targeted to the West Coast on election day.... A terrorist attack close to the election, pulling the troops out of Iraq - any more ideas out there?

The question, which one will be THE ONE, or is there something else on the horizon?
