Moveon and Hitler Ad....
Edited on Thu Aug-26-04 09:32 AM by dennis4868
Can someone please explain to me why in the hell do Dems on the cable TV shows keep saying that when moveon.org put out the Hitler ad Kerry asked that the ad be taken off the air right away. WTF?

moveon.org never had such an ad on tv or on the internet. As we all know here, they had a contest to send in an ad and one of the contestants did a thing comparing Hitler to Bush....but it was never used by moveon.org and as a matter of fact, moveon.org never considered it in the contest.

I can understand media whores saying this....they have to lie for their king George....but why in the hell are dems lieing about moveon.org? They are making moveon.org look very bad.

2. we are sometimes really bad at letting our opponents
set the definition and direction of the conversation. If they accuse us of "Hitlerizing" shrubya, then we spend time talking about that instead of issues. A real dem speaker needs to say nothing more than "I won't even respond to that. Grow up. Now about the issue we were discussing . . . ."

3. Whenever the republicans lie about the Hitler ad every democrat
should point out that the first person to compare Bush to Hitler was Karl Rove. (Of course Rove was making a favorable comparison.) The democrats then should demand that the republican identify where and when the ad ran.

5. SIMPLE
Rep: What about the Hitler ad Move On ran?

Dem: That's very interesting. Do you actually believe what you're saying? Where was this ad run? Where were the media buys for this ad? No such ad was EVER run on any television station by Move On. In fact, no such ad was ever even produced by Move On.

Bottom line, you might as well be talking about flying saucers.

Why do you believe people who tell you insane lies like claiming that Move On has produced or run such an ad? They lie to you, and you fall for it. It seems they have, once again, made a fool of you.

6. While the Repugs are lying about this, don't compare Bush to Hitler.
It hurts us badly among undecided voters, really badly. It doesn't help, so please, those who want to compare Bush to Hitler PLEASE SHUT UP.

7. Well plus the nonsense at Bush's campaign Site
They put up an add called the Coalition of the Wild Eyed that used the exact same footage in an effort to smear Democratic candidates. If the ad is so evil, why would they reuse it?
