Who are these "Shadowy", "So-Called" 527 Groups?
Edited on Thu Aug-26-04 10:15 AM by NightOwwl
Rove's new meme: Never say 527 without prefacing the word with "shadowy", "so-called", or even better, both. Isn't the word shadowy also associated with Al Qaeda? And so-called is associated with dishonest representation.

Daryl Kagan seems to like so-called, many others favor shadowy. And the sheeple will picture a mysterious (possibly criminal) group of characters, in a grungy basement, furtively working to oust Bush by illegal means.

Daryl especially pisses me off. She adds a little sneer when she says so-called, giving the term some added extra zing.

There is nothing shadowy or so-called about them. It's time to email the media again and call them out on this.

Where is that darn media contact list?

1. This pisses me off
Moveon is made up of millions of citizens. Voters. People like you and me.

My husband and I have given probably a couple of hundred dollars all up to them. Moveon isn't a group made of a few million-dollar contributors. It's a big group made up of millions of small-money contributors. That's what scares W and Rove.

There is nothing "shadowy" about a group of average citizens.

2. they've used 'shadowy' for months to describe our 527's as well as
anything having to do with bin Ladin. It's probably their think tank expertise in action - eventually they'll say our 527's are terrorist organizations.

'Shadowy' - word used to scare the public.
