Gov. Rendell at Lancaster, PA, Dem concert rally today ... y'all come!
If you're in ULTRA-CONSERVATIVE Lancaster County, PA, this evening, please come help us show those Repugs we won't be the silent minority ANYMORE!

The "Concert for Change" will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. in Lancaster Square, in downtown Lancaster today (Thurs. 8/26). Three bands performing (political, jazz, acoustic) ... Lots of candidates speaking, and the governor is set to speak somewhere around 7-7:30.

If you're in the neighborhood, come on by.

Informational flyer here:

2. Gov. Ed Rendell ROCKED THE PLACE!!!
The rally was very well-attended ... that may not seem significant to those of you who have never been to uber-conservative Lancaster County, where the Repug-to-Dem ratio is probably far past 2 to 1 Democrats here "never" have elaborate rallies -- more like individual speeches to a few cheering partisans.

The organizers of THIS rally tonight said this was the first significant Democratic rally in Lancaster since 1960 when John Kennedy came to town to campaign. And this rally had lots of candidates represented, all of whom gave really good speeches!

And there were hundreds of people there -- you have to understand JUST HOW CONSERVATIVE the place is, and JUST HOW BAD the Repugs try to make you feel for being a Democrat in Lancaster. They make you feel like a witch-trial victim. Hundreds of Democrats in one place, speaking out against the Repug status quo is HUGE!

This rally showed the local Democratic citizenry to be loud, proud, and here to stay! And Ed Rendell energized the crowd into a cheering throng with his contrasts of what the Republicans do to us vs. what the Democrats want to do FOR us! Great night to be a Democrat (among other Democrats declaring their politics to one another in a big ole PUBLIC love-in!!!)
