First ABC News - now MSNBC taking note that McCain has not spoken with reporters since Aug. 13
ABC News made the reference this morning: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=6740796&mesg_id=6740796

Now MSNBC...

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/08/25/1291016.aspx

<snip>

Although the campaign told the press corps that today's event was going to be a "press conference," it turns out that the only members of the media who might have had the opportunity to ask McCain questions were reporters from the school's paper. As McCain and Yankee shook hands following the endorsement, students were funneled towards the musician by the senator, receiving a quick, "Sup, papa" or "How you doin' lady?" as they shook Yankee's hand.

The only reference McCain made to the convention beginning in Denver tonight was a vague compliment directed towards his opponent.

"This is a tough presidential campaign we're in," McCain said. "I have a very honorable opponent, and one who will receive the nomination of his party this week in Denver. And I look forward to the last couple months of the campaign with him."

McCain has not spoken to the press since August 13 in Birmingham, MI -- the day his wife sprained her wrist at a fundraiser.

1. And his poll numbers go up.
He says nothing but his surrogates are out there with POW POW POW every chance they get.

McCain doesn't have to talk. He's a POW.

2. Is Politico not considered the press?
Didn't he do that "how many houses do you have" interview just last Tuesday?

9. You got that right. The Politico might as well be McCain site.
I went there this morning and saw the first five-six articles were all pro-McCain or anti-Obama.

14. He's a sickly 72.
I've know healthier people in their 80's, and up until a few months ago, I thought McCain WAS 80.

17. As far as I'm concerned
his age is an issue. It's not just the 72 years, it's his health in general, his forgetfulness, his "old" ideas.

As George Bush so eloquently put, "It's hard work." :sarcasm:

I don't think John McCain is up to any hard work.

8. And yet they continue to play his anti-Obama ads on their networks.
I don't know how many times I have seen his political ads played on the networks. His latest three political ads have been played during the various shows on all 3 cable networks by the hosts. I have yet to see one of those played during commercial breaks.

I mean, all it could answer was "yes" or "no"?

Christ, Steven Hawking has a better interface than that right now in the 21st century.
