1. Kerry's good response on flipflop
"It's not waffling to say something you voted for … ought to be done properly," he said.

He noted that Bush initially opposed creation of a Department of Homeland Security, and then embraced it, and did the same with the bipartisan commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks.

"They're just finding things," he told the questioner. "It's the same thing they said about Bill Clinton. About Al Gore, John McCain… If you spend enough money, say it enough, people like you are going to ask questions."

8. Only in America can voting for something AND wanting
it spelled out how it is PAID FOR (NOT financed) be designated a flip-flop.

10. Great response...why did it take two months for the campaign to get it?
Jesus...they HAVE to be better than this.

It feels like Gore with Donna Brazille in 2000 all over again.

I'm still 100% positive that Kerry can win this. But they are letting the GOP run the show just like in 2000 and the public is unsure, once again, about Kerry after all that swiftboar liar crap!

2. He also made unannounced visit to the Minnesota State Fair!

Kerry also made an unannounced visit to the State Fair following his campaign stop in Anoka.

Kerry arrived at the fairgrounds at 2 p.m. to streets lined with people cheering. He walked through the fairgrounds, shook hands with bystanders and entered the cattle barn.

Inside the cattle barn, he stopped to talk to a number of people tending their cows, including teenagers Laura Gaudian and Caylee Tennis of Hayward, Minn. Kerry asked the girls about the breed of the cows and the girls' duties.

"We said they were gurnseys and we have to water and clean up after them," Gaudian said.

When asked what they thought of the experience, they responded in unison, "It was cool."

4. God, our state fair is insane.
I don't blame him for stopping by, our state's fair is the only one I know of where the state pretty much grinds to a halt for the fair. Such a strange phenomenon. I forgot that he was here today, damn!

14. The pictures on the evening news looked great.
WCCO showed his response on the flip flop issue at the Anoka meeting (and I saw it on the national news).

But the pics from the State Fair were great. Compare/contrast Bush* and his invitation only gatherings to John Kerry walking around the State Fair mingling with all voters.

Though, one thing they showed may start a new controversy. He was shown eating might have been a corn dog. I can see the next ad "John Kerry says he ate a corn dog at the Minnesota State Fair - witnesses say it was a Pronto Pup..." <brought to you by Minnesota State Fair Goers for Truth>

9. We went to Anoka
and waited outside for him to drive by. There were about a dozen of Kerry supporters and a few people holding up Bush/Cheney signs. This turned into the most fun I've had in a very long time. Someone said something and pretty soon we were all giving the * people a piece of our minds. Most left accept two 17 year old boys who really sat and listened to us and this lady who seemed like the type who didn't work and needed to find something to do while her cleaning lady was in. She was giving this lady a hard time cuz she couldn't find a job so I asked her what she did for work and she wouldn't answer and finally said it was none of my business and I said I knew that, but tell me anyway. A little later and I don't really know what she (* lady) said, but the lady behind me started screaming at her that she was going to kick her (* lady) in her big fat head. Then the (* lady) yelled back are you threatening me ... and I put my arm around the mad lady to make sure she didn't do anything stupid and said no she's not threatening you. She said yes she is and as the lady kept telling her she was going to kick her in her big fat head I kept saying she not threating you, whats wrong with you and she got so mad she told a cop.

Goddamn, listening to those people makes me want to eat a bullet. I dread the debates when they interview the undecideds afterwards, more of the same idiotic shit, I might have to hang myself in the garage.

America is fucked if this is average.
