I pray this is not another Katrina, and that it does not destroy even the little that has been rebuilt.

6. Big harsh reminder of what happened under a republican presidency.
on the day they start nominating a republican candidate. Karma is a HUGE bitch.

9. I'm really sick of these threads......
The very last thing those people need is another storm. If the storm follows that path millions stand to lose their communities, their economic and social welfare, and possibly their lives. Most of those communities haven't even come close to recovering from Katrina. If that storm hits New Orleans head on as a Category 3 the entire city will go under water (AGAIN) and thousands will die (AGAIN).

The GWB response to Katrina was HORRIBLE. But in my mind I don't want to see these people have to go through it again so soon. The cost to our nation will be enormous.

14. I'm in NOLA - it's very scary. But everyone knows the drill now and
meetings are already taking place to put contingency plans in place. If it hits here - it will
be a 100% different story than the last time.
