Obama's Cabinet Appointments - Suggestions?
I've got a few:

SECRETARY of HEALTH and HUMAN SERVICES - Dennis Kucinich

ATTORNEY GENERAL - Vincent Bugliosi

SECRETARY of DEFENSE - Andrew J. Bacevich

SECRETARY of STATE - Bill Moyers

Hey, I can dream, can't I? And who would be your dream appointees?

4. I sorta agree- Secretary of State Clinton works OK for me but...
I would rather see her as Senate Majority leader.

5. I almost wrote the very same thing
Sec'y of State for Hillary, if she'd go for that kind of thing. But, I, too, would rather see her as a powerhouse in the Senate.

9. It WOULD end all mention of the 'do nothing Congress'
With all due respect to Majority Leader Reid and his scant majority, the expected addition of a few more Senators with Dem after their names and a newly invigorated Senator Clinton leading the charge...well things WOULD get done now wouldn't they!

11. The 'do nothing Congress' is a consequence of a slim majority.
And also due to a deliberately obstructionist Congressional minority and President. And as always, Republicans have come up with a slogan for the purpose of blaming their failure on Democrats.

I know I am preaching to the choir but I must deliver the sermon.

13. You are correct: Preaching to the choir.
Well stated though. That is the correct stink of the neo-cong: Mess stuff up, come up with a catchy name or phrase for the problem, blame the democrats and in many cases push for privatization.
It's a sermon that truly needs repeating!

18. Me, too
HRC would be the dynamic and effective Majority Leader that Harry Reid has so seldom been. With Dems in the White House, the Majority Leader's position is effectively third in command. And you can bet your bottom dollar her tolerance for Repuke bullshit would be minimal.

10. I was thinking Wes Clark for Defense
But I read up some on Bacevich. He would be good and so would Kerry. The D of D needs an Undersecretary of Whupass, whose goal is to purge every single neocon. I nominate myself for that.

I like Gore in Energy. Carter would be good at HUD but he could do a lot as Secretary of State.

I think Kucinich would be a better choice for Healrh, Education, and Welfare due to his position on Universal Health Care.

15. Wes Clark can't be SOD yet
10 years wait from retirement to qualify - should be close, but not yet.

Carter in HUD to continue his Housing efforts.
Kucinich in Interior to protect our lands, waters, and to stop spastic drilling efforts.
Clinton in HEW because those were the cornerstones of her campaign. She has the ability to vitalize that department, and to make it much more powerful than it already is.

If Kerry is not in the Defense Department, then he should run Veteran Affairs. Seems fitting.

21. Have you ever heard him speak?
Long-winded is putting it gently.

I'd still like to see Hillary for Attorney General: it will take a strong woman to clean the mess Gonzo left there. Bill can be Sec. of Schmoozing - i.e., ambassador to the UN.

How about Gray Davis for Sec. of Energy?
