20. What about Juana La Loca (Mad Joanne) from Spain? Oh I forgot, it is McCain El Loco
my mistake. So we'll change it to Marie Antoinette Pawlenty and the Biden Guillotine at the debates

26. Perfect!
I don't think it was Juana's fault that she was mad.

I certainly hope they do pick Pawlenty, so that the ads can superimpose images of Katrina and the collapsed bridge.

Pawlenty as his VP would cause as much of a sensation as two puddles coming together! Hahahaha.

40. Well let's hope that he doesn't need to cross those puddles with a bridge
'cause Pawlenty would cut the funding for it.

Tim who?

He's what we would have had with Evan Bayh. Evan Who? Yawn.... Some nice milquetoast, maybe, for the GOP. But then again, john's probably old enough to need a bland diet these days.

6. I'd like to see Pawlenty as the pick
if for no other reason than the fact that I've never heard of him till this week, and I'm fairly sure I'm not alone in that.

Of course my favorite choice would be whinin' Joe Liebermann.

I loved the Chris Matthews disussion last night on what a bland pick Pawlenty would be,.

Also loved the crowd booing Pat when he said that state infrastructure is not a national issue, or something like that.

10. Pawlenty!!!! Ha! There goes the "He's not ready to lead" line.
And think about it... when you're considering voting for a 72 year-old man with a history of cancer, you're looking pretty closely at his VP pick.

Pawlenty Jokes About Lack Of Sex Life
Listen To The Governor's Joke
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― Gov. Tim Pawlenty spent the fishing opener with his wife, Mary Pawlenty, on Big Pelican Lake in Breezy Point, Minn.

If an aside uttered by Pawlenty on Mike Max's radio show on WCCO-AM is any indication, they may very well have spent their every waking moment fishing.

"I have a wife who genuinely loves to fish. I mean, she will take the lead and ask me to go out fishing, and joyfully comes here," the governor said before adding, "She loves football, she'll go to hockey games and, I jokingly say, 'Now, if I could only get her to have sex with me.'"

The governor quickly clarified, "It's a joke, it's a joke."

Caught a creepy segment on the FM 107 morning show (Ian and Margery--A Balanced Breakfast). Mary Pawlenty has been guest hosting with Ian.

Yesterday Mary Pawlenty told a long anecdote about when she got appendicitis and Tim Pawlenty was an insensitive lout. It was supposed to be a rib-slapping funny commentary about silly husbands but instead came off as creepy and disturbing. It was a long story, starting out when she doubled over in pain at home when appendicitis struck. Everyone laughed as she described how she was curled on the bedroom floor in a fetal position begging to be taken to the emergency room, but that rascal Tim Pawlenty told her to wait until morning to go to the regular clinic instead.

After she kept moaning and begging, and the pain got more and more excruciating, he finally agreed, reluctantly, to take her to the hospital. Despite her protestations, he decided he wanted to take a shower first. Ha ha ha!!! She described lying on the floor afraid she was dying, and begging her children to bang on the shower door to ask their father to call 911. She said he was unmoved (Ha ha ha! Those crazy Republican husbands!) and took a nice, long shower before leisurely driving her to the hospital.

Once at the hospital, he decided he really didn't feel like hanging around in the ER waiting room. While she was moaning in agony and waiting for the doctor, he told her he was leaving and put his car keys into her shoe so that she could drive herself home later! What a card! What a funny husband he is!

Then you should have heard the guffaws as she described being wheeled into surgery, alone and in despair, thinking, "I thought I had a family, but I have NO ONE!" Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!! Then, after the surgery, Tim finally showed up in the post-op room in his suit. However, he immediately asked her if she really needed him to stay, and he left as soon as he could. Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! You know how MEN are!!!! Ha!

The story went on and on like this for about 10 minutes, and everyone was howling at that rascal husband Tim Pawlenty, who has no empathy.

Today (surprise, surprise) they had Tim Pawlenty on to do damage control. The lovebirds traded affectionate barbs, and he told HIS side of the story, which was that he had to leave quickly to take care of the children and make sure they made it to school.

This is the caring governor we need. This is clearly the man who will bring healthcare to Minnesota's children.

Edited on Thu Aug-28-08 01:09 PM by dflprincess
would do to him in a debate. I don't think Tim's ability to be snippy will be much of a defense. The only choice the MSM and the Republicans will have will be to whine that Biden was mean to Timmy.

Probably, Pawlenty has been informed he's not the pick and he's going off to sulk somewhere.

According to his Wikipedia entry, he won election in 2006 by a margin of only 1%, and he was the incumbent!

37. He barely won reelection here, and that was before the bridge collapsed...
It was also before a massive chunk of concrete fell of yet another bridge and landed on top of a vehicle speeding down the highway. And you know who would be governor if he did become VP? The very woman who was in charge of the state's transportation system when the bridge did collapse, she was later fired for her incompetence. Pawlenty is not very popular, but Molneau is far more unpopular and if Minnesotans know that a vote for Pawlenty as VP would be a vote for Molneau for governor there is no way that Minnesotans will allow a McCain/Pawlenty ticket to win this state.
