Killed people? 2004 New York - their fault, 2008 Minneapolis - their fault. you would think they would want to stay as far away from that as possible.

1. The irony and hypocrisy is lost on them. And will likely be lost on the M$M, too.

3. and also...
Minneapolis is a very Progressive city.

That's what I didn't get.

Why have your convention in a city that isn't very Republican friendly? Surely, there will be
a ton of protesters.

7. For the record, I believe it is being held in St. Paul, not Minneapolis.

And I believe Minnesota has been trending -- i.e. moving in the direction of, but not there yet -- Republican the past few elections. After taking Iowa last election they saw Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan ready to topple.

Of course, those plans were made in the aftermath of their 2004 success (note to Terry McAuliffe: success does not mean raising more money, it means winning more elections).

It's Minneapolis/St. Paul. The "twin cities" are pretty much interchangeable. I said, "Minneapolis"
just to shorten it up. If you look on the Republican site, the convention is touted as being held
in Minneapolis/St. Paul. These cities border each other. Literally, one side of the street is Minneapolis,
and one side is St. Paul.

Also, I disagree that the Republicans "taking Iowa last election" led these guys to believe that they
could also take MN, WI and MI. Bush won Iowa by the skin of their teeth in the last election.
The final vote count was so close that a second count was called.

I can't imagine that the Republicans would put so much stock in their slim Iowa win. Furthermore, it's
a foregone conclusion that Obama is well ahead in Iowa and will probably take the state. Both
campaigns know this.

My 2 cents.

4. when you steal the votes it dosn't matter
Cheney said Regan proved deficits don't matter

well Bush proved disasters don't matter

all that matters is controlling the elections and the perception that 50% of the voting population is stupid enough to have voted for him
