at least this week for the convention. He's working the floor and doing some commentary. He's one voice I like to listen to. He and Bob Schieffer are both on the floor, although they put ol' Bob up on a balcony-- so he won't get shmooshed I guess. They've only got the evening news slot and one hour prime time.
And Ted Koppel is at BBC America this week offering commentary with Matt Frei, who is no slouch either in the area of wit and intellect. One hour at the regular 7 p.m. Eastern time slot, plus another during their repeat time at 10--although it's live then too.
Jim Lehrer has three hours of coverage each night, with Gwen Ifil on the floor doing interviews. Kind of dry, maybe, but at least he's not inserting himself into the show. But you have to be able to tolerate David "airhead" Brooks.
Just saying that there are alternatives to the MSNBC/CNN circus if you don't want to just watch it on C-span.
Anyone finding other nice spots?
