3. That depends on whether every AK47 owner is labelled a "criminal"
Obama did mention keeping AKs out of the hands of criminals, did he not? And what about law-abiding Americans who choose to own such rifles and carbines? Will their rights be protected by the Obama administration?

The future of the Democratic majority in Congress may hinge on the answer to that question.

There are so many ridiculous laws on the books, that I think that we are all considered criminals these days.

Nonetheless, I was quite inspired by Obama's speech this evening. Even if he picked on AK-owners a little bit, he's got my vote. I will gladly stand-up for the Second Amendment during and after 1/20/09.
