That's a nice way of saying it's going to be boring.

4. haha
Did Fineman even know that Tweety was being sarcastic when he asked "Has the McCain campaign been holding Tim Pawlenty as their secret weapon for a month?"

5. Fineman was talking about the rethugs going "town hall".
I remember they tried that before and it was awful. I have a very clear recollection of Liddy Dole looking like a complete fool playing the town hall style.

8. Sadly they may get upstaged

9. That coupled with whatever talking head said
The Repugs weren't expecting a speech this good. Hehe, gotta love it when people underestimate you. Of course that's typical RW thinking when it comes to intelligence. I'm not that good, so therefore, they can't be that good.

Earlier in the night, someone was saying the Dems/Obama shouldn't set the bar that high because "no one could possibly reach it."

13. Fineman said that the McCain campaign did NOT expect to be called out like this.
and that all they were saying was that their "focus group" found it to be too negative on John McCain....

DAMN RIGHT it was negative...and effective!

14. Of course *their* focus group would say that.
It wasn't negative at all, it was the truth and sometimes, oftentimes, the truth hurts. Obama threw down the gauntlet tonight and McIGaveStateSecretsAsAPOW is now looking at his guys asking, "How the hell do I debate that? Tell him to read my books? Better, yet, yeah, hit him with one of my books."

:nopity:
