The asshole said "Americans don't care about the economy or our moral standing in the world. They care about less/smaller government and transparency in gov't and those are McCain advantages."

OBVIOUSLY Mr. GOP-in-the-UK has been over there TOO LONG and hasn't a freaking clue. If less gov't means NO healthcare, NO jobs, paying $4/gal for gas, home values sinking and foreclosures all over the country due to the REPUBLICAN-DEREGULATED banking and investment industries, then - WRONG. Americans to NOT want smaller government.

Now, as for gov't transparency - well, he didn't go there, interestinKly enough. HOW MUCH TRANSPARENCY does the bu$hit, Inc. crime ring have? Any reason to think McSame's would have any MORE than that?
