David Gregory: McCain has COMPLETELY stolen the spotlight.
He also asked: Will Palin appeal to the angry Clinton supporters?

How quickly the hacks revert to their talking points.

I want to punch him in the face.

3. The Press needs to hype up interest for McCain because they want ratings
Otherwise, it's over for McCain and them.

12. They can't bear the thought of not being able to talk about the Clintons anymore.
It defies logic that women who supported Hillary would find Palin's politics appealing. But the media are shameless. They have to feed one another's Hillary addiction. It also is a way not to have to dwell on the contrast of Obama to McCain. Charlatans all.

14. David Gregory, YOU FUCKING HACK!
I wasn't a PUMA but I'm a woman and I'm fucking insulted. Don't just throw some woman who's a mom or fits some traditional gender role and happens to be a Republican politician onto the ticket and expect to use her like a fucking accessory to accentuate some fucking feature on McCain. Palin isn't like a purse or a pair of earrings. Don't give me that fucking shit!

17. Stealing the spotlight only to look incredibly stupid is not a good way to win.
When all the hubbub dies down next week people will be faced with the memory of a fantastic Democratic convention, a fantastic Democratic ticket, and a joke over there.

lots of chances for her to look stupid until then.

19. The spotlight NEEDS to be on McLame
AFAIK. The repukes have been allowed to fly under the radar without any scrutiny at all. All the spotlight that Obama has gotten has been negative so more of that is a distraction.

The more the reukes are shown talking, the more they reveal and the more the gaffes they will make. The Dems should be getting the people registered, challenging what may be a stolen election in some states, and getting the turnout - particularly for downticket races.

29. Had the McCain eating babies video been leaked today he would have stolen the spotlight too
Just because he has the spotlight doesn't mean it's a good thing for him.

Once this sinks in, the "judegement" theme from last night will rise right to the top. What everyone is thinking now, is "Geesh Obama nailed it last night. This guy is insane."
