Initial reaction to Palin
She's so inexperienced that it shows, and she isn't going to be able to convince America she's deserving of the job. She comes across as viable mayoral candidate, maybe, but certainly not of the caliber required for VP. Don't be surprised if she makes some incredibly stupid blunders (again, lack of experience) in the coming weeks. Also, Biden will make her look bad in the debates. I think McCain made a mistake by choosing Palin.

2. Biden will have to watch his step
He can't go full-bore on her because it will remind people of his interrogation of Anita Hill, and generate sympathy for Sarah Dear.

6. Good point
He'll have to be careful, but Joe's smart enough to do it. Hopefully her performance will be so bad that she'll torpedo the repug campaign.

11. Unlike the Bushies, Biden's smart enough not to fall in that trap.
He's not going to say or do anything misogynistic. He'll be respectful, congratulate Palin for being the first female GOP VP nominee, then meticulously tear her positions and qualifications to bits.

4. LOL Maybe Micheal turned down the offer
I'm hoping Sarah will provide us with some good laughs in the weeks ahead. I hope she makes huge blunders.

9. I could see she was a rising star in their party.
From the information circulating at the time,
I could tell that Alaskan Democrats like her
too.

She is very likable and she is NO dummy.

I had thought, especially with a 4 MONTH OLD,
that she would be favored for a presidential
run in the NEXT cycle.

10. It's an absurd pick that is very out of character for McCain.
