Tweety Blackballed: Details?

Sorry for this... maybe I'm out of the loop. Anyone have details about Tweety being blackballed by Rove & Co.?

Also, Tweety has let it slip he was one of the 6 called during the Plame scandal.

Any info would be most appreciated. I want to like this guy because I know there's a real human being inside of him.

Last thought, Boycott cable info-tainment. You'll ALL feel better.

Thanks. :freak:

7. On another thread

The reference was made that Tweety was blackballed.

What is the basis for this? Is it the Plame thing? The remark also indicated because Matthews asks follow up questions instead of just letting some PUG guest speak their shit unchallenged.

Like on CNN.

Just looking for info. Thanks!

3. he's already said that about Plame
but yeah they were pissed about the clip of the Hardball interview with Kerry where he asked if Kerry was "the anti-war candidate". They trimmed his full answer.

I believe Tweety said he was told that Wilson's wife was Fair game.
by Karl Rove himself. Rove must go. To jail

5. Matthews owned up to the Plame thing long ago.
He talked to Wilson and apparently told him that Rove had said that the wife was fair game.

AMBUSH JOURNALISM...OR MY EVENING WITH CAVEMAN CHRIS MATTHEWS
By Michelle Malkin · August 20, 2004 02:34 AM

Here's a peek behind the cable TV curtain. It's not pretty.

So, my publicist arranges for me to go on MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews on Thursday night to talk about my recent columns on the FBI and national security profiling and my new book. Despite the show's basement ratings, we figure it's a good opportunity to reach out to a new audience. FOX News, with whom I have a contract, has generously allowed me to appear on some competing networks to talk about the book. Thursday was the second to the last day that I could make such appearances.

WHAT A PIECE OF WORK THIS BITCH IS!!!

Thanks again for the info.

Kerry Hardball appearance video being used in a campaign ad. Matthews really ripped him a new orifice over that a week ago.

25. Chris Matthews called out Matthew Dowd, Bush pollster/adviser, on an
11 minute web video which takes John Kerry's words out-of-context.
-------------------------------
The original quote was like:

Chris Matthews: Are you one of the anti-war candidates?

John Kerry: Yes, in the sense that I opppose the way Bush took us to war.
---------------------------------------
The Republican video just shows something like:

Chris Matthews: Are you one of the anti-war candidates?

John Kerry: Yes.
----------------------------

Chris Mattews told Matthew Dowd that was misleading, as Dowd continued to insist it wasn't.

I saw it that night, he was rough on Dowd, who apparently was unused to anyone calling him on his BS.

15. What I don't understand is that
if all these tv people are so afraid that they won't get any Repukes to come on their shows then if they all stuck together and did some hard hitting the Repukes wouldn't be getting any face time. They would have to come on or only get time on Faux. Instead they cower and give into them.

23. I watched Malkin's appearance twice,
taped it and watched it twice more. I didn't do it for fun.

Anyway, I don't know how much foul language I can get away with here, but everything she says in that whiny column is a damn lie. She had access to transcripts. She could have taped or TiVo'd it. Lying bitch.

And Olbermann did NOT call her an idiot, as most of you know. He replayed the entire segment where he discussed her appearance with Tweety the following night.

Oh, God, she is a walking obscenity.

20. They don't get it. They would boost their ratings if they actually became
liberated. Repukes would never live up to their hallow demands. They were so bluffing. Yeah right, repukes not going on MSNBC. It's a cool tactic though. What if our lame politicians did that to CNN or MSNBC. I guess those networks would just say...ok fine.

But hay, It's a good tactic. imagine if we were really united and we told the media...Fuck You. Our entire party has agreed to boycott your networks and affiliates. We will continue the boycott until you agree to sign a non proliferation of lies agreement, equal time, and equal issues.

22. I would settle for "REAL JOURNALISM"

It infuriates me to no end, when some ass-wipe like Wolf Blitzer or any number of the CNN "shows"; that just let some PUG LIAR come on the air and say whatever they want without challenge.

THAT is not journalism! Putting the opposing sides on TV and allowing them each :30 seconds is bullshit.

We all know FOX is a lost cause, and CNN seems well on their way, but I held out hope for MSNBC.

It is a sad day in this country when you can no longer trust the media to hold the public trust.

27. That's what happened with their Crossfire boycott
When Crossfire began their more contentous one-hour show with Carville and Begala, wingnuts were getting hammered for a change. They didn't like it. Tom DeLay, I think, got the bright idea for his party to boycott the show. It lasted about a week or so.

26. I think part has to do with him raising hell with the Repubes about
them using just a couple of Kerry's words in an online hack-job, taking the whole thing out of context. Why he got so upset with them is because the statements by Kerry which they cut to peices, was from his show.

He was right to chastise them and they are pissed because they are fucking whining little babies that piss and moan when they don't get things exactly their way, like spoiled-ass brats.

29. Tweety On Bill Mahrer
If you get HBO...catch the tail end of the show...before New Rules, where Tweety is on discussing this.

He said the show had been "avoided" (or some loose word) by some Repugnicans lately, but made it seem it was no big deal to him. Not sure I buy that one. Mahrer was more open saying he has to be careful with his GOOP guests not to beat them up too badly.

If Tweety is pro-Kerry (I think he's more disgusted with the lies of this regime and it's ham-handed actions) he's gotta keep it in check if he's gonna get the big name GOOPers (and I wouldn't mind him getting up on his show and boring them assholes)...especially next week.

Somehow I sense Tweety's got some suprises up his sleeve in the final weeks...and good ones for many of us. I keep hearing that there are investigations going on with MSNBC into some of scandals past and present in this regime and a lot of this could come flying out in September and October.

I'm wary when I hear this kinda talk, but since Rick Kaplan has taken over at MSNBC (he was at CNN...and was Ted Turner's last manager) and immediately began to sweep out the Faux/Wingnut crap (even Scarface is toned down) and has market research that shows a large audience out there for "left" or "Democrat" oriented programming...counter to Faux. Time will tell.

Matthews is the big kahuna of political talk shows on cable...despite his lower ratings. It's the show where the stories break and is quoted around the media. He knows the only way it stays that way or goes higher is to play inquisitor. For years the Democrat, and Clinton was the target as that drew ratings, now it's attacking Bunnypants.
