Any thoughts on 1000 dead in Iraq?
God damn it!

It's at 971 right now. http://icasualties.org/oif/

1000 is only about a week or two away.

As BartCop says, "forgive me for counting bush's victims."

And P.S., Don't forget the thousands of dead Iraqis.

5. More US troops dead in 2004
Edited on Sat Aug-28-04 01:10 AM by LynnTheDem
Than in 2003, in Iraq.

They're still dying in Afghanistan too.

18 months later...WHERE IS OUR NATIONAL MEMORIAL SERVICE to HONOR our FALLEN???!!

The dead, and the 40,000 sick & wounded, some est 14,00 seriously, are just bush's DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS. Which is why they're sneaked back to America in the dark of night.

WHY did bush try to cut our troops' combat and hazard duty pay WHILE they were in COMBAT?

WHY has bush cut veterans' benefits, while he's making MORE veterans?

WHY does bush HATE OUR TROOPS???

As the wife of an active duty soldier, I know why I hate bush.

7. Protest Idea

Some group needs to get a PA system, set it up in NYC and read the names, over and over and over and over. All thru the convention.

8. Many a people who are now dead's blood runs red on Bush's hands...
An unprovoked aggressive war for little or nothing as it turns out...meanwhile the real enemy regathers itself beyond the realm of the whore press or the utterly inept intelligence forces of the mighty USA...The result? Unending fear, unending terror...the result of waging an essential war on the cheap in order to maximize profits for White House cronies at the expense of us all...

9. 'M' is the roman numeral for one thousand. It is the inverse of 'W' - -
This is a reach, I know, because people are unfamiliar with roman numerals. (Some people might have noticed 'MM' = 2000 if they watch film/tv credits roll)
But if there was a way to have that ubiquitous bush W slowly tumble and flip over and become the M (and have people know it means 1 thousand)...
This butcher is responsible for untold thousands of deaths and mutilations. I'd love to take that W and stick it to him somehow.

W's first thousand - I bet he relishes the power he has over life and death. I pray for all the people he has harmed and destroyed. I pray he will be stopped.

bush is forever flashing 'W' with his fingers:

U.S. President George W. Bush holds up a 'W' as he is introduced to speak by Georgia Democratic Senator Zell Miller at a campaign rally in Miami August 27, 2004. Bush stands with first lady Laura Bush. REUTERS/Kevin Lamarque US ELECTION

...and they're using W in their sterilized crowds:

...and in their campaign gear - here's just one iteration:

Are the thousands of "wounded", aka: amputees, burn victims, maimed...

Welcome to Bush's Amerika.

11. Bush Doesn't Care about Our Dead or Iraqi Dead.
It's not his thing. But he better learn one thing, we will not stand for another 55,000 killed for a Republican warmongering effort. Nam never harmed us and never had a potential to do so nor did Iraq. His corporate globalists made out like a bandit as he transferred our taxes to their coffers.

16. I just hope my nephew is not
one of the casualties that makes the count 1000. He is a Navy Seabee (construction battalion) and is somewhere in Baghdad rebuilding what our missiles destroyed(that concept has always been hard for me to understand).

Historically Seabees are usually out of harms way but the week he got there seven from his unit were killed because some jerk commander had them line up in formation to salute a visiting big wig and mortar was hurled. In one of his letters he told me that mortar is just randomly thrown over the walls and whenever he is outside he has to be in gear. I thought they were going to be throwing flowers...

I'm new to the forum. Thanks for letting me vent a little.
