1. Okay
I'm praying that Kerry will win, but I'm afraid that it'll be very tough. It is the most important election of my lifetime, and the first in which I can vote, as it'll determine whether or not my life will involve (forced) military service. And I'm doing all I can to throw Bush out of Gore's house.

13. Then get out there and talk to other youth
Some people have not had the time to register what has been going on under the Michael Jackson/Laci Peterson radar.

Peer to peer works best.

Young Voter Alliance is active in the swing states of FL, NM, OH, PA and WI:
http://www.youngvoteralliance.org/cep/index.php?view=GetInvolved

Or just do what I've been doing. Walk up to total strangers and say, "Are you with us on Nov. 2 to send George Bush back to Texas?"

Select hip, artsy, creative, secular youth and young minorities to target your message to. Carry voter registration forms to give to all who need them. Stake out places where youth congregate.

I was aprehensive because I am a little shy. Now I'm on a roll. Just got some more new voters at the grocery store! A handicapped man took some forms for his nephews and he'g going to drive them to the polls.

Kerry is a strong finisher, and I believe that Kerry is going to rip Bush asunder in the debates.
The truth is with us.

6. well...Diebold may be a problem
FL and OH.
It's more important to win Ohio because I really, really think having a fair election in Florida is not possible.

5. My first Kerry meetup had 25 people
That was March. Thursday night, we had 125. Considering our meeting is held in a backwater location that nobody in town can seem to find, it was an amazing turnout!

We have volunteers working booths, canvassing, running phone banks, and stuffing envelopes. All this in a state that Dubya won by more than 12 percentage points.

HELP IS ON THE WAY!!!

7. I went with 5.
I wish he'd employ Wes Clark as point man for all this swift boat crap. The Kerry team seems to be letting Rove et al. dictate the direction of the discussion. Let's talk about Viet Nam instead of Iraq, etc. (Odd, a year ago you couldn't get the * administration within 10 miles of a Viet Nam discussion, now, it's his blunt instrument).

He needs to drop the gloves and not be afraid about the campaign getting dirty - it already is. Junior has been punch-drunk for months now and nobody is finishing him off because we're all looking at his trainer in the corner.

I will not be pleased if the election is lost to a guy who has shown on repeated occasions that he can't ride a f*cking bike.

know what is going to happen..cause it just ain't gonna be that way.

A million zillion things will happen between now and election.

10. I'm still going with a TEN
I heard an analysis last week that just rang too true.
In 2000, Gore received over a half million more votes (that we know of) than Bush*. Bush*'s problem is that he has the much more difficult task of getting new voters who will support him if he wants to advance.

There are all kinds of voters who supported Bush* in 2000 who will not this year. Conversely, literally all of Gore's supporters will vote democratic, with a vengeance.

19. According to the Pugs,
About 4 million conservative evangelicals did not vote in 2000. The Repugs are doing everything they can to get them registered. I don't know how successful they will be, but I'd bet they get a good number of them. Their impact will depend on where they are located. If they are mostly in "red" states, they won't help the Chimp.

The last poll I saw showed about twice as many Bush* voters defecting to Kerry (or other) than Gore voters defecting to Bush*. So, that's definitely a plus.

12. Media too much to overcome
they're going to be presenting 2.5 months of outrageous Bushaganda, too much for Kerry to overcome. I a couple years, when the empire has collapsed, hopefully they will all burn in hell.

14. 3. Bush owns the media, and Diebold, plus Kerry
needs clear, simple messages. most voters don't know what he stands for, so they're going with Bush because even though he's wrong, he appears strong in his convictions ("strong and wrong" vs. "weak and right").I'm SICK of Kerry fans saying "well, people need to STUDY his record"; it's NEVER going to happen!! There's also plenty of proof that attack ads work (Clinton used them, Bush used them in 2000) and the Kerry camp seems fearful of telling the truth about Bush*, while BushCo has no problem making up crap about Kerry (the "flip-flopping" label has really worked for them). Kerry needs to show some strength by challenging Bush* on his dreadful record.

20. It's coming. Like a patient prizefighter...
...Kerry will start swinging when he believes the time is right. In fact, you may have noticed he's already begun throwing the first jabs.

Let the Repubs have their party. When it's over - and if our side doesn't fu*k it up by playing into Rove's hands a la Chicago '68 - Kerry will go on the offensive and make the Shrub look like a total schmuck.

15. 9
Now Bush has denounced all the ads that could lie for him, and it was good the Swift Boat ads ran this early. Of course, I hardly ever see Kerry on TV responding, so there's some worry about the media. After the convention, it's a battle of who can campaign best. We have to constantly monitor Diebold, though.

16. Kerry will easily win the popular vote
Democrats in California and New York and the other blue states are going to come out by the hundreds and the thousands (and millions) to vote against Bush. This time, they are angry and motivated. I also think there's a 50/50 chance that Ralph Nader might pull out and endorse Kerry if Bush's poll numbers rise in the battleground states. I predict a victory by Kerry over Bush of one million votes OR MORE. However, it is the Electoral College that has me concerned. If Bush gets trounced in the popular vote but nonetheless wins again, what will that do for the image of America in the world as a democracy?

17. We'll need to have a "poll" again when the pukefest
is over and out. There is so much that is going to happen between now and even the debates that I'm sure we'll be blown away.(No I don't have any inside track..it's only obvious.)

21. In ordinary conditions with an honest media and fair elections......
....Junior wouldn't have a snowball's chance in Hell. Without the media I don't even see the majority of Republicans buying this asshole's bullshit after what he's done to this country. From the war, to the economy, to the ridiculous spending which no conservative can possibly justify.

Unfortunately, the Pravda media and the electro-fraud "voting" machines are exactly the problems we face, and as long as the sheeple believe what they are told, then they will buy a "close win" for the BCE, courtesy of Diebold and/or a manufactured terror event which somehow takes the West Coast out of the vote altogether, causing a deficit in Kerry's electoral total which would be difficult at best to overcome.

I'm not sure if "pessimistic" is the right word, but definitely call me skeptical until that moment on Jan 20, 2005 when I see that fucking unelected cowardly terrorist piece of shit flying off the White House lawn for the last time. Then I'll know it's over.

Or at least Stage 1 is over. But only the beginning of restoring this country.

24. I was in the middle, I voted 5
I'm neither optimistic or overly pessimestic. After the convention I had much higher hopes, but after seeing Kerry go through the entire month of August on the defensive over a bunch of allegations which anybody can see are lies makes me pessimistic that he can beat the regime and the media working hand in hand.

but actually I felt more like voting 1. :-( I'm feeling very pessimistic today with the repuke convention coming up and seeing that they are not beyond anything, lying, cheating, stealing and I believe they would commit murder if they had too to get in again. :-(
