One reason the Chimp looks so much like a chimp

Maybe you've all noticed this too -- he walks with his palms facing backwards. Did you see the "ranch" press event when he had his little posse with him recently? It was very marked there, for example. If his arms were longer, he'd be walking on his knuckles. It's very, very weird.

1. He's slump shouldered also.
That contributes to the appearance and his profile shows a prominent mouth bulge that completes the resemblance.

It's not just the face, but, you're right -- those hands lead with their backs forward. (If that makes any sense.)

Excellent observation! :toast:

his palms face backwards and his ass sticks out to compensate for the unatural gait and that is one reason why he had little kinetic sense and is always falling down.

He does not have an athletic body. But true to form, he will try to fake it because underneath it all he knows that he is a clutz. I am convinced that this macho thing wannabe a great athlete, is what caused his knees to go.

10. Right -- it's either the athlete-wannabe thing or he's just half ape
It's like he tries to widen his back and shoulders, and locks up his upper back in an effort to "puff it up," causing that weird palms-back thing... Or, he's just a chimp. I don't know.

I never thought about the connection of this with his clumsiness. You make a good point! :)

17. On Fux News today they called Bush a "natural athlete"
I rarely watch Fux but I can image the tripe they spew on an hourly basis, as in the first 5 minutes of viewing they were calling George Bush a "natural athlete". They were comparing Kerry to Bush and had some physical training expert on to comment on the athleticism of the two candidates. They mentioned that Kerry is at least 5 inches taller than Bush, but that despite this, Kerry is 20 lbs. lighter than Bush and has far more lean body mass. The commentator then stated that Kerry obviously has lost muscle mass from lack of proper exercise and that George Bush is far more compact and muscular, thereby accounting for the difference. They said Kerry is slump-shouldered and not very well coordinated but that George Bush, who apparently has a very low resting heart rate has a better center of gravity and is a "natural athlete". That one had me rolling around on the floor for several minutes in hysterical laughter before I turned Fux News off.

21. They were talking about Bush's 7 minute mile
and the fact that he is constantly exercising. They were suggesting that Kerry doesn't have a regular committment to exercise but does it only in spurts. The subtext throughout the segment was that Bush is a committed man and that Kerry does things for show or only when the inspiration hits him (therefore is not a man of strong committment). But the "natural athlete" bit was too much.

42. Barbara Bush doesn't look like a Chimp
But she does bear a strange resemblance to the late J. Edgar Hoover, boss of the FBI. Maybe Hoover faked his death and started wearing that dress full-time. It would have made sense to Poppy Bush that the head of the FBI and the CIA get in bed together permanently to share slimy secrets.

He has to walk that way when he's at the Potemkin Ranch so people won't think he's a pussy. Actually, I think he walks that way because of the wedgie he just got from KKKarl.

23. Poor Bush - Clearly a genetic throw-back!
This is truly a stunning revelation, that we have such a mutant for our president! Every once in awhile something goes awry, and a creature is born that exhibits traits of some earlier ancestor. Such appears to be the case here. Perhaps this is why he cannot speak very coherently, nor read books and newspapers very well, and so relies on Condi and others to keep him informed about what is going on in the world. His classmates must have helped him a lot, to get him through college, poor soul. He did appear to enjoy the 2nd grade class reading "My Pet Goat" back on 9/11. Perhaps they were reading at his true grade level. Well, now that we know the truth about him, we better keep it to ourselves. Otherwise Bush will likely get a huge sympathy vote, and four more years in the White House!

28. Darwin was right - Bush proves it!
Guess that is why there is such a strong resistance by the neocons to have science and the Theory of Evolution taught in our schools. They are afraid that their candidate proves the theory.

37. fetal development recaps evolution
we all once had tails, in the womb.

Could chimpy have missed out on the genes that control fetal development , and as a result, became frozen at the level of a protohominid? The ancestor of both humans and apes. Probably resembled a chimp.

would account for his small brain and odd speech troubles and maybe also warmongering and theft and nixing the texas bill to give doctors to poor kids, etc.

45. It's worse than simian.
Years ago I worked with a guy who was a private investigator. He did investigations in criminal cases, including a fair number of sex offenses. He had this theory that he could tell if somebody was a sex offender by the way they held their arms -- like with the palms facing back and the wrists held up a little bit. After awhile I got pretty good at spotting "the arms," as this PI called the phenomenon; and sure enough, when I'd see somebody on TV who'd been busted for a sex crime, he almost always had "the arms."

I try not to watch Bush* on TV because he makes me want to :puke: . But on those occasions where I've seen footage of him walking, I have observed that he, too, has "the arms."
