Two idiots from Time and Newsweek on Russert............NOW.
James Carney is saying that Kerry has suffered SEVERE erosion from the SB ads, losing on leadership issues, etc. He says the race is "tilting Bush."

Jon Meacham from Newsweek who is quoting the CNN poll, which is totally bogus!~ (I think Carney was also citing the CNN poll...seemed like it when I tuned in).

Russert is talking about "right track/wrong track" Bush doing badly, yet, in the horse race, Bush wins.

Carney is saying that Kerry is "hard to like"--stiff............

Meacham is saying it's lucky that SB happened in August and bringing up Weld...

Don't these guys read a) real polls and b) updated real polls? (Latest one posted in a thread here at DU showing the decline in support for the SB ads and how half the people think Bush is behind them!!!!

How do these jerks keep their jobs??????????????

1. The point I agreed with was that Kerry MUST FIGHT EVERY DAY - not
drift toward the election hoping to win by 2 percent.

Indeed the last 3 weeks - until the Max trip to Crawford - looked like a fellow that read the polls and saw a likely 2 percent victory and gone into wait mode until November.

Kerry should remember that he sucks when he tries to play the "I am ahead and the job is to hold the lead" type of campaign.

2. this is a psychological game
do not be fooled. The corporate media did the same thing to Gore. In fact a week before that election they said Gore would lose by at least 7%

Gore won...

4. Welcome To The Roller Coaster Ride!
Bottom line for me is:

Kerry camp is too smart to let this thing get away.

I'm working hard, but I am not perspiring.

No Sweat. Stay cool.

Steady as she goes.

5. I just found this post
on http://www.emergingdemocraticmajority.com saying the SBVT ads are a net negative for Bush because 1) polls show that a large majority think Kerry deserved all his medals and 2) polls also show growing numbers think Bush was behind them.

I'm glad Russert mentioned the right track-wrong track numbers, because they are bad news for an incumbent. The race is even; it's not tilting Bush.
