It pisses me off watching Democrats blowing it on TV.
The repukes are so much better at hammering the talking points and I find myself swearing at the Dems on TV when they're argueing with the wingnutz on the talking head shows.

What REALLY galls me is the "Kerry voted against the $87B for the troops" Bushit that is repeated ad nauseum without EVER having a Democrat nailing these jerkoffs with the truth, which is that Bush threatened to VETO that very same bill BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE REQUIRED mandated funding levels for veterans care. That needs to be thrown back in their faces EVERY SINGLE TIME it's brought up by some repuke talking head.Make sure the country knows that he threatened to veto it and the REASON he threatened to do.

I'm sick of watching those turds claim the morally superior higher ground on "THE TROOPS" that he's getting killed daily in Iraq without being challenged with the truth.

WAKE UP GAWDAMMIT!!! :spank:

1. Kerry is winning, and will probably start hammering Bush after the RNC
The media is biased, but I think this is winnable.

3. But I'm not talking about the media, I'm talKing about
the congressmen and the senators and the campaign "consultants" and the entire assorted Democrats that go on Fox,Hardball, Inside Politics et al and face some repuke while a moderator asks those questions that allows the repukes to start giving the canned responses that seem to make every single news clip on TV..

4. I would bet...
...that anyone who is sent out to speak for Republicans has had some media training. I suspect that they actually spend money to train their talking heads to talk over, talk through, and use the time to hit the bullet points. WE know that they have a hot line where chatterers call to get the day's message.

I have NO IDEA why Democrats aren't up to speed on development of its representatives.

2. Repukes "blow" it also...
However the media is entirely biased. How can someone who spent a mere 100K get millions of dollars worth of free publicity?

5. I hear ya - I mean why the fuck isn't our party coordinated?
On important issues relating to the prez. election all democrats need to be on the same page.

I swear the DNC is staffed by a bunch of fuck-ups. What do they do anyway? They raise millions, but where the fuck does it go? Where is our media message? Why can't we be aggresive for once in our fuckin' lives people?

I'm sick of this shit.

7. I agree.
I'd love to see the Democrats put some more fortitude into this campaign season. I want to see attacks on Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the whole lot of clowns in Washington DC.

Forget this "nice" crap. Let's take off the gloves!

9. Kerry absolutely supported the $87 billion for troops
If it was paid for by repealing that much of shrub's tax cuts for the wealthy. asshole Bush was going to veto it if his buddies had to pay for it.

They did the same thing to Max Cleland. That bill was gonna screw lots of American federal employees so Max vetoed it and was promptly raked over the coals for appeasing the terrorists.

Democrats need to stick together and fight back. Dems lose elections because nobody wants to support a bunch of pansies who constantly get bullied and humiliated by the Republican attack machine. It's almost embarassing to be called a Democrat. And apparently it already is embarassing to be called a liberal.

In short, the Republicans may be raping this country, but the Dems aren't doing much to stop it.

10. I read better arguments on DU
than those coming from our 'talking heads' in the national media.

It shouldn't be that way. It's a disgrace, and an utter shame.

11. Kerry has to nail it on the debates with the $87B question
Edited on Sat Aug-28-04 11:27 PM by zulchzulu
I know his answer. He voted for the first bill (sponsored by Biden) that would have not allowed to top 1% TO GET A FREE RIDE while our soldiers DIED with Bush's tax cut for the wealthiest Americans while the middle class got pinched and had to send their sons and daughters to fight Bush's war. He voted against the bill that GAVE THE TOP 1% A FREE RIDE while not telling us how we would PAY FOR BUSH's LIES.

Or something like that... boil it down...maybe ask Al Sharpton for some rhyming pointers...
