Only a brilliant mind would turn things around and make a war hero look like a fraud and a fraud look like a war hero. Rove has the media on his side and that makes things easier, but Kerry's number have definitely suffered because of this incredibly dishonest but amazingly daring tactic. Sending Max Cleland down to Texas was a joke, that was getting mad, NOT getting even, which is what Kerry needs to do ASAP. Rove must be laughing his ass off.

I am not being negative, but these people are too eager to stay in power and I'm beginning to have bad feelings about November. The Bushies are exactly like those thieves who walked out with that Scream painting last week, they don't give a flying F*CK. Kerry is not dirty enough to do what's necessary to win, and he hasn't learned Gore's lessons from 2000.

Rove is taking the worst president in at least 70 years and has him in a dead heat to get elected. This thing wouldn't even be close without some brilliant manuevering by Rove.

A lot of people seem to think the media is the reason this race is tight. That is partially true. But the reason for that is because Rove knows exactly how to play the media like a fiddle. He knows the buttons to push to control the news cycle. He knows when to get an inflamatory charge out. He knows how to keep his spokespeople on script with no ad libs and no wavering from the party line. Rove determines the topics and controls the discussion.

Meanwhile the Democrats are freelancing. They let a guy like Lieberman talk and he undercuts the candidate by backing a Bush* policy. Same with many others.

Rove may be a disgusting excuse for a human being, but he does his job better than anyone the Democrats have right now. Without Rove, Kerry is leading by 10% right now.
