Interview w/Bush - sorry if it is a dupe
New York Times reporters try to pin down Bush - and boy, was he pissed.

1. The man is an idiot and he is evil.
Wisecracking about serious issues.

We must get him out of the White House. Our country's future demands it.

3. Notice McClellan had to step in and save his ass on global warming
Chimpy obviously hadn't been read that by Condi during the morning coffee klatsch.

6. Yep, the President has a Guardian ad Litem for public addresses
Also noticed that he considers it a mistake to address the public directly without a script to follow--I am sure Rove feels the same way--thus, the very abbreviated number of unscripted appearances.

Though it is painful to read, here's the retake:

Ms. Bumiller: At your last big press conference, you said that you couldn't think of any mistakes you had made. It's been about three or four months. Can you think of any now? It's been a long time.

THE PRESIDENT: You mean other than having this interview?

Absolutely pathetic attitude coming from the Leader of the world's most democratic country. Well, until the Rehnquist court entered the American electoral process. Bygones.

4. bush is not even in touch with reality.
the only reality he sees is the one he fabricates.

I wonder what Elizabeth Bumille may have wanted to say when Bush told her the only mistake he ever made was to have "this interview". He probably thought that was funny (just like when Jenna stuck her tongue out at reporters and thought that was funny). I wonder if Bumiller thought bush's answer was funny too.

If i remember correctly both she, and david sanger, are (have been?) pretty strong pro-bush. I wonder if their joint interview with him has change their minds at all.

As Paul Levy, healer, visionary artist and spiritual and political activist says, "People who vote for Bush are somehow blind to what to others is very obvious, as if they have become hypnotized and fallen under the spell that Bush is casting...People who vote for Bush are unknowingly colluding with and enabling the co-creation of his self-perpetuating pathology...."

"...a mass collective psychosis is manifesting in our country.. these seemingly good, normal, and loving Americans who support Bush's certifiably insane behavior and vote for Bush, not only see nothing wrong with their actions, but are in fact 'proud' of it."

:(

5. I give the interviewers credit
Not many people these days are willing to try and make Bush answer the question, which we all know he is incapable of doing. I wonder if he thought his comment about "this interview" was funny, or if he was really angry. I got the impression that he was angry - it seemed he got more and more irritated throughout the interview, and he's certainly gotten mad before in interviews where things didn't happen the way he wanted them to happen. But it certainly illustrated his idiocy. I'd like to mass mail this interview to battleground states.
