Are You Still Holding Your Noses?
A lot of people who supported other candidates during the primaries and/or have watched Obama "inch" to the center over the last 4 months, have been pretty upset. Some have stopped donating, and others have said that they'll hold their nose when they vote for him... and a few have thought of staying home.

Has the selection of Palin changed the minds of any of the people who were on the fence about Obama? Made him more palatable? Made you want to campaign for him, if only to campaign against the McCain/Palin ticket?

Just wondering...

1. Don't drop a turd in the punch bowl
Doesn't help unify the party.

2. Why?
Because Palin's teenage daughter is pregnant?

I find it far more distasteful people tearing apart this young girl. Her pregnancy is nobody's business but her own.

10. Because her mother is a lunatic
who deserves to be ripped apart for creating a situation where her daughter didn't use birth control and then had her life decided for her because she has no choice but to have this baby. I would think that wouldn't be complicated to one of Hillary's supporters.

3. Obama turned back left
That's why we're not upset at him anymore. He has come around.

4. If any of the "other" people has any opinion at all, they'd better keep it
TO THEMSELVES. If you say anything at all here, someone will "alert" on your opinion and
you will be thrown off the DU Boards. Keep your opinions to yourself, good or ill.

How very nice for YOU. Unfortunately, my experience and the experience of others I've talked to
has not been the same.

I am very happy for you. Keep on being vocal and speaking out!

6. NO!
His speech won me over.

Then the Palin announcement pushed me far, far over the edge.

And then the appearances with Biden, including on 60 Minutes... I am so excited about the ticket now.

I was considering voting for Nader (I'm in Texas). Because of his destruction of the "bootstraps" meme in his speech, I am supporting him.
