So when do Obama and Biden reclaim the spotlight? And how?
Of course I'm relishing the trainwreck known as Sarah Palin, all the more so because it's drawing even more attention away from the Repuke Convention. But I think it's important not to let too much attention linger on McCain and his joke of a VP pick, even if it's negative attention. What's planned for after the Convention, to set people's sights back on Obama?

2. With this kind of news... we just talk to regular people about regular isues....
The Republicans are the ones with the crazy families and crazy positions. Let the internet do the hard work.

3. It won't be necessary. Events will take care of themselves.
Let's sit back and watch the Palin situation jump the rails. There are more hurricanes coming, which will use up most of the news while the RNC is in session. Obama and Biden will just keep doing what they've been doing. They will be fine.

5. Probably nuts and bolts ground work
while all are distracted by hurricanes Gustav/ Hanna/Palin.

Then some major policy speeches with good sound bites and terrific crowds.

6. I'm glad that Obama and Biden are getting a brief respite.
The media - which is our enemy, make no mistake - will be back at full blast like a plague of hornets soon enough.

He still has a photo op with Bill Clinton on the stump with him that he could pull out whenever he wants.

20. No kidding. You'd think DU'ers would want to help the guy WIN
the presidency, not lose it. But as usual....

We COULD be out there working the phones. We COULD be donating. We COULD be writing letters to our local newspapers. We COULD be knocking on doors.

But nah. Gossip is SO much more fun.

And then we'll wonder why we lost in November.

10. Let it ride for as long as possible, Palin is imploding
McCain is going to look like an imbecile for picking her. This works on the matter of judgement. Obama looks way more presidential picking Joe Biden and serious about the job too.

12. If This Campaign Is About McCain And Palin, They Lose
This is friggin' FANTASTIC. Let the spotlight shine on McCain/Palin from now to Nov and we will win in a landslide. I wouldn't change a damn thing right now.

17. I couldn't agree more! It's fantastic, like regular people aren't hearing the grumblings? Of course
they are! And they're aren't focused on Obama, they're focused on this dysfunctional train wreck known as the Republican party, or the AIP party, whichever you prefer.... I think it's GREAT....

14. I am happy to ride this wave for a while. At least we don't have to
ponder the question, "Why can't Obama get white working class voters?" or hear that we STILL don't know about Obama. This is great!!

There is no such thing as too much negative attention for your opponent.
