Keep your damn eyes on the damn target, re: violence @ RNC

Keep your damn eyes on the damn target.

Liberal protesters openly advocate violence against the RNC ...

Anti-War Protest Brings Violence, Chaos to RNC

Be Prepared for Police Violence at the RNC Protest

Protesting Violence With Violence at the Republican National Convention, St. Paul, MN

The goal of anti-war protesters, most of the time, is to send the message that "violence begets violence." Some of them have no problem with some of the war effort against radicals that cause terror, and their only complaint is Iraq. However, a large portion of the anti-war left are against war of any form, even if used as a defensive measure. They are entitled to their opinions. They have the ability to protest as they do because of the blood shed by our military heroes.

The problem I have is that their argument is against war, against violence, but more often than not the protests by these people become violent, as they are becoming in St. Paul.

Isn't that just a bit hypocritical?

Some anarchists who had started the trash bin fire later tried to block a major intersection. Police quickly dispersed the group, then shot two tear gas canisters at the fleeing anarchists.
Pictures taken by Associated Press photographers showed officers using pepper spray on protesters who appeared to be trying to block streets.
About 200 people from a group called Funk the War noisily staged its own separate march. Wearing black clothes, bandanas and gas masks, some of their members smashed windows of cars and stores. They tipped over newspaper boxes, pulled a big trash bin into the street, bent the rear view mirrors on a bus and flipped heavy stone garbage bins on the sidewalks.....
.... about 100 anarchists pushed a dumpster filled with trash and threw garbage in the streets and at cars. .......

The day's march was organized by a group called the Coalition to March on the RNC and Stop the War, whose leaders said they hoped for a peaceful, family-friendly march. But police were on high alert after months of preparations by a self-described anarchist group called the RNC Welcoming Committee, which wasn't among the organizers of the march.

Time Magazine.

The RNC Welcoming Committee are not democrats, democrats dont set fire to garbage dumpsters, break bus windows etc.

Crash the Convention – We didn’t get an invitation, but we’re showing up anyway.

This party will be what we make of it. We don’t want to confine our potential by imposing a single vision of what success will look like. We recognize that there will be a lot of people coming with their own agendas and carefully laid plans and want to be open to the diverse tactics that will be necessary to accomplish our many goals. Together, we can derail the purely ceremonial show of this repressive system and remake it with our own hands and according to our own visions.

Transportation Troubles – This includes blockades downtown (at key intersections), on bridges (10 bridges over the Mississippi River in the metro area), and other sporadic and strategic targets (busses, hotel and airport shuttles etc).

Good people wishing to peacefully protest have been infiltrated, I have been to 6 anti war protests in DC and NYC, in groups as large as 500k, without a sign of anyone hurting a hair on another persons head. In the late 1960's instigators started beating people at a number of events, including the 1968 Democratic Convention.

We are being played.

Keep ypur eye on the target, November 4th. Do not let them muddy the waters with swiftboats stories, Pay no attention to the shiney pretty things like the Palin stories, or these acts of violence in St. Paul. Just ask your selves, why, when Neo Cons are involved, they resort to false flag operations. Rumors of terrorist attacks at the Boston Democratic Convention in 2004. The WTO violence of a few years ago.

Dont let your selves or your friends get played, keep your damn eyes on the target.

1) The White House must be won.

2) We need 60+ Senate seats.

3) We need another 30-50 seats in the House.

Just say no to pretty shiny things, and yes to voter registration, knocking on doors and making phone calls for Barack Obama, our democratic Congressional and Senate Candidates, and all the down tickets races at the state, county and municipal levels.

We wont get another chance. Keep your eyes on the target.

1. How soon they forget (or lie): Read "The Wrecking Crew"
There is much evidence that the history of Conservatives includes bullies and focus on physically maulling "weak" Liberals. Anthrax is a walking metaphor of their desires.

3. Thanks for this.

Bingo, and it starts happening whenever protests hit a critical mass that startles the powers that be. It's sickening.
